  • Thanks to you, I'm imagining a circle of hell that's a movie theater that plays nothing but child porn (And Setzer/Friedberg movies, this is hell after all), and it's impossible to see or hear anythin

  • How hard it is to find classy/ unobtrusive merchandise relating to shows in general (but especially anime).   All I want is a nice watch or keychain that will remind me of my favorite show when I look

It's a simple philosophy. The question here is - why is everyone incapable of quoting, giving evidence/examples, or giving an otherwise well-founded reason based on well-accepted notions? It seems that every time we go onto something relevant, someone has to make a personal criticism that bears no relevance to what we're talking about.

Because I've quoted a bunch already, and frankly, I'm done.

In a few years, I hope that you are able you read your posts from a different perspective - hopefully thinking that you have come far since 2012.

We don't know you, but how you are perceived on this forum is through the personality you show in your posts and interaction with other posters.

There is a quote from one of my favourite tv series which goes like this: "There is always a crazy person on the bus. If you can't spot the crazy person on the bus... it's you." I am just trying to say that instead of being so defensive, you could take the criticism as an opportunity to evolve. If you come off as more open and positive, others will see you in a more positive light. You will be amazed how much that can do for you, both on the internet and in real life.

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

If you don't want to continue the discussion, then stop posting. I did see you quoting a bunch, but were they:

Relevant

Sufficient

Kept in original form for context

I've already addressed them with my own counterarguments within this public thread. Why does it seem to be such a difficult thing to grasp? Leaving the discussion doesn't make you right - having a well-founded argument does.

I'm not suggesting that my arguments are well-founded, because I can't judge on that, but it doesn't seem that anyone has pointed where my arguments are flawed.

That implies the criticism is constructive and well-founded. I've already shown why that's not the case. I'm waiting for someone to show why it is. It doesn't help that we're skipping topics because people think that they can take free verbal taunts at me, now does it?

EDIT - I'm sure it goes "There is always a crazy person on the bus. If you can't spot the crazy person on the bus... it's probably you."

You're speaking with too much certainty if you deny the possibility that you're wrong.

My posts were truly well-intended and even if you didn't ask for the advice, I hope you consider to quietly do so.

If you feel that any of the posts on the topic are verbal taunts directed at you, the report system works well.

To a lot of people, it probably seems like you demand evidence as a way to avoid facing the points that others bring up. Like now, where you're flat out ignoring most of the attempts to explain it by stating that most of the forumers have a grudge against you. There's just a point where you have to step back and think 'maybe they have a point' - You were on the EP when we were trying to improve on that, you should know this already.

If this comes off as mocking/taunting/what-have you, I'm sorry. Not my intent, want to help, but I tried subtlety elsewhere and got nowhere. If it helps, read this post again in the soothing voice of Morgan Freeman.

This discussion stops, and it stops now.

At this point, who is right and who isn't is irrelevant, because neither side is going to budge. This thread is for people to post their grievances with the world or with people in general, it is not to here to criticize fellow TIF users, and it is not a forum for debate on how people post. If anyone wants to continue this, then please start a private conversation. If not, the forum has an ignore feature, and everyone is welcome to use it.

If people believe they are dealing with a troll, then the best possible action you can take is to deny them what they want most, which is attention. Trolls need attention either for their own amusement, or for emotional verification that people notice them and pay attention. They can not be reasoned with.

Any further remarks directed at fellow users, either overtly or covertly, will be removed and dealt with at the discretion of the moderator staff.

Or, any 'spirit' in general. In the context of RS, 'the spirit of the game' is an evasive way to say 'our narrow vision that discounts emergent gameplay.'

In my High School's case on the definition of 'spirit', 'shut out all sorts of cynicism, pessimism or any sort of introverted behavior that obstructs our unrealistic campaigns'. The more I think about it, 'spirit' can have more harmful and bad uses than good when it gets into the those dreaded territories of over-invested optimism.

It's more evasive than that. It's usually phrased as 'to support our cause'. If you even make a reference to the possibility that their vision is distorted, then you'd probably be penalized. In essence, they oppress you like the church does.

Because of their oppressive nature, they are a considerable annoyance to me.

It pisses me off that I have never had more than 10 channels of TV to watch. As soon as I left for school this year, my parents gets over 500 channels. <_<

It all depends on what channels they are. I personally only watch two or three of the channels that I get, and I'm more or less on basic cable, for example...

I only watch sports and the discovery channel.

I don't actually watch TV, because after a year spent having my computer handle that, comercials anger me far beyond reason. If I did though, the channels I watch are:

Discovery, History, A&E (only for criminal minds), Showcase (on occasion), Space, and National Geographic. I'd also watch Comedy if my parents had that one.

I only watch sports and the discovery channel.

I had like ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, and a few local channels. Basically, all news stations.

I'm a little upset that I can't share my NSFW links on many forums :(. Brief question - is it acceptable to share via pm, if we agree that it doesn't offend each-other?

I don't hold anything against cybering, but at least do it with a webcam, man. RuneScape cybering is just not cool.

EDIT - I personally recommend Logitech C920, or at least a Logitech 9000.

Sent you a PM, but for everyone's benefit, it actually is against the rules. However, we don't monitor PM's unless they are reported.

You've sent me a pm, you say? It's a good thing they're not monitored ;)

I can't disagree with that. I even like the better wording you gave as it describes the nature and way my High School acted. You even got it right about the penalization since I've seen them punishing people doing something else aside from pointlessly raising their vocal chords up to eleven and bombarding the ears of their neighbors.

I have only really used my voice at full on two occasions that I can think of.

Once was as part of a performance/competition, where we would have lost points if anyone had held back. Took me a minute to warm up to the idea though.

The second was at the very end of the day in Disney's Hollywood studios, in their extra magic hours. My last two rides on the tower of terror had 2 and 1 other person in them beside me (almost got a solo run on the last one  ). I was tired enough to be willing to yell as loud as I could to make up for the lack of people. After the last one, the people who were in the elevator the two of us opted out of were looking at the picture and laughing cause it was just the two of us.

In general though, I am too shy to scream/yell, and I resent people for trying to make me. Its like singing, I have to be tired, or drunk.

My University Students Union annoys me.

No, I am not interested in your comedy nights.

No, I am not interested in what my SU is doing for me.

No, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE STUDENT ELECTIONS. SERIOUSLY. LEAVE ME ALONE.

:wall:

I get this more when I'm walking through the town centre. I pretend they don't exist, and if they block me, they'll get bumped into. It's their fault, right?
