Brodly
Is there any way to train smithing from 55 to 69 without too much of a loss or with profit, that isn't smelting bars?

Bad911
I used to hate smithing, but I thoroughly liked the Blast Furnance.
John Halo Chief
I DESPISE smithing, but Blast Furnace is one of the more fun minigames. Use peng points on smithing til 60, then use the blast furnace.
Nifflin
Blast furnace using SC hammers to make mith arrows. It used to profit, don't know if it does anymore. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. MstrMonopoly
Make gold bars with goldsmithing gaunts, it gives like 70k/xp an hour and is mega-afkable (about 4 gp/xp, so maybe 2m at most for you) I piety the fool.
Jaffy1
There's only a few methods of making profit whilst smithing. The first would be to mine your own ores, then smelt bars, and smith platebodies which you alc (loss is reduced profit).Another method is to buy ores partially and mine the rest. Let's say you mine coal and buy iron for example. What usually is profit is making cannon-balls from steel bars, again mining own ores will cut losses extremely. Making gold bars with goldsmithing gauntlets will be loss, however can be slightly cut by using the bars for crafting. Other than that with your current levels the only real profitable methods would be by mining. shawn3090
If you want to minimize costs, do NOT mine your own ores unless your best method of making money is slower than mining coal (which it should not be). Making money beforehand or afterward will save more in the long run. [hide=Stats][/hide]"One death is a tragedy. L0rdAki
Do iron knives/arrowtips with sc hammers, or the best plate you can and suck upthe cash loss. Unless you earn crap all, then go with jaffy's solution. I refuse to believe that you can't make over 200k/hourthough. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff. CaJ
I used to consider Smithing a very expensive skill. Right now I find making Gold Bars with Goldsmithing Gauntlets to give out the most exp per hour (70-80K), but this costs almost as much as Construction. You can do the other methods listed here that help minimize loss, but they come with a cost of being slower.
