LostProfiteroles
Trees are good xp per actual effort put in, but it really depends if your bothered about cost. If not, simply grow the best crops you can and find another thing to do at the same time (alching, fishing etc). Herb runs are also a viable option, as you will turn a profit this way, but require more effort and attention. On a final note, theres a really good guide on this site:http://forum.tip.it/topic/242787-mother-gaia-an-in-depth-manual-to-farming/
12pure34
Trees and fruit trees, best you can plant. Fruit trees daily and the normal trees 2x a day or so.Herb / allotment rounds can be done, tough they don't yield THAT much experience, they do add up below level 50! You can do like 3-4 a day easily! Just planting the best you can with supercompost (and payment perhaps for fruit trees / trees)

Solartide
If you're planting herbs you might as well use the allotments too. I love the sight of a farming patch filled with corn.

L0rdAki
Sorry for hijacking, but if you do farming for profit is it really worth doing allotments? Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
Solartide
Well since we're planting trees I don't think we're going for profit.
L0rdAki
I meant me, not the op. I didn't think it was worth making another topic... I do herb runs, pick cactuses, marigolds and papayas. Solartide
Oh totally, I just plant herbs for cash. I mean, it takes under 5 minutes to plant, and I can leave them there while I do other things. I like Kwuarm, not bad profit with low overhead, so I don't mind if a plant or two dies on me.
L0rdAki
I do avantoes, low risk and not bad reward. I always profit because I use the trollheim patch. I meant is it worth using the allotment (sweetcorn, watermelon, ect) patches while herb farming? It's extra exp (getting more valuable the higher level I get), but it costs. And I don't like costs. Solartide
Don't you lose hella money planting watermelons? I mean, who buys watermelons? You need 4 for 4 scarecrows, and the slices look pretty sweet, but beyond that, who wants watermelons?

I know they used to be used for supercomposts but with the pineapple updates, I doubt that's still the case... give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever
geesch
These days, i just farm the herbs and do a full round of fruit and normal trees. I dont find allotments worth it. They take a long time and dont really give much money or exp. Herbs, on the other hand, are incredibly quick to do (can do all 5 patches in 5 mins and walk away with 250k.) I would suggest planting wergali or avantoe. Werg seeds are hard to get, so you might stick in an offer of like 500 and just plant avantoe. once you get the seeds though, you are set. As for fruit trees and normal trees, plant willows or maples, and pineapples once you reach the appropriate level. I always pay to protect them. Once you can farm calquat, its definitely worth it. The seeds are relatively cheap and give 13k+ exp.

You need 4 for 4 scarecrows, and the slices look pretty sweet, but beyond that, who wants watermelons? I personally plant watermelons, and i find the experience to be insane. I used to use sweetcorn for the extra experience, and its much cheaper, but I find that watermelons yield, on average 14 watermelons per patch that survives. At 54.5 experience per watermelon extracted, it adds up very quickly. I'm impatient, what can i say. Allotments are good for extra experience as sweetcorn is very cheap, but if you're looking to powerlevel, do the best allotment you can. On top of that, you forgo the flower patch, which is 500 xp and 20k profit (limps). In total you lose 78.9k for 5.9k xp (13.4 gp/xp). Watermelons are basically the last thing to be added, even after magic trees, when maximizing marginal xp. At lower levels (lower than 68) I'd say it might be worth it, since it'll help you get to the higher trees quicker. And i'm aware at how inefficient watermelons are, as my plan is indeed to get to higher level trees faster. However, this topic was about levelling quickly, and the highest allotment you can plant will yield that. Farming is a slow skill, and I'd prefer to make it as painless as possible. Not that i can really afford it, but I'd like a somewhat respectable farming level. And the herbs and flowers make up for it, so instead of making profit, i break even on the skill for the sake of faster xp. It just boils down to laziness. With pretty much every other skill, i train as efficiently as possible based on my income. Makes a massive difference in exp per round over a day. I just leave the flower in the spot proteting it.
Jaffy1
The fastest would be to: 1. Farm the highest level fruit tree you can (one run each day).2. Farm the highest level normal tree you can (2-4 runs each day).3. Farm the highest level herbs, flowers and allotment crops you can (1 run every 80-90 minutes).4. Make supercompost whilst on your herb/allotment runs. If you really have nothing else to you you could do runs past the flower patches every 20 minutes, to grind every xp out of it, but that seems a bit over the top. If you are unfamiliar with farming runs, or need some help with the making of compost or efficiency, feel free to join the clanchat W22 farming. I am a mentor there. We teach farming (among other things) and if you want I could take you on a few adjusted farming runs if necessary.
