runesmithie
This test annoys me too mcuh, since after a word you can't backspace :( Using Ainsworth I got 103 WPM on drills as my all time maximum last year and around 80-85 WPM average http://www.qwerty.com/ I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam. mixxedstuff
Quite commendable, LP. I hang around 75-80 wpm, usually around 90-95% in accuracy.
mad4u689
Gross: 99 wpm accuracy: 96% Net: 96 wpm ew :( I thought I was faster :( I blame hard words >.> Because clearly it can't be me :D Also, I blame being on a stupid laptop keyboard. Edit: I felt bad so I took a different one, the Finland one, again and did a bit better. 108 wpm with 99 percent accuracy :D Everybody hug and spread the love :D
Greatsilverwyrm
This test is exeedingly annoying because if you miss a word or add an extra character between spaces, the entire rest of your test is wrong. However.. 100 wpm 2 words 98% 98 wpm This type of test brings in the question, though.. how do we define typing speed? In sprint-type tests such as these? I think a better test would typing maybe 10 pages and seeing how long it takes you to type them, and make sure to discount any time spans of inactivity > .5 seconds or so.. or maybe do a sprint-type test first to see how long it usually takes you between characters, then discount spans longer than twice that, or something. Also make sure you have different tests for different types of keyboards.

Zibl
I can type about 200 WPM, no mistakes. But if I use a real language, like English (which is the only one I know), I remember getting fairly high in Keyboarding class (8th grade). I was #1 in the class with about 56 WPM with no mistakes. But I've greatly improved. I could probably pull off a good 80 WPM with I'd say around 90% accuracy. Too lazy to check for sure though  . insane
This topic was bumped from being very old. This is allowed in the case of an interesting, well thought out post - but, I don't think there is much to be said about typing speeds in general.
