Which is better for me to buy once I get the cash? Either would be fine for me, but I'd like reasons as to which I should buy, not just a 'bgs owns all' or something like that.

it really depends on use. for boss monsters, a godsword is usually quite effective.

for slayer and the like, a whip and rune defender provides the fastest killing, substituted with a dfs when you really need defense bonus.

a rapier (dungeoneering) is even more effective than a whip, so at the end of the day, it's up to you what type of weapon you want depending on what activities you like :)

I'll probably be doing slayer or training at SW, most likely I'll mix some depending on what I fee like doing. And reason I want either one of those is mostly for looks, not how effective it is... I can always sell back later if I need cash.

The general consensus is that the DFS is only useful at dragon tasks when you lack super antifires and a few niche cases where you need lots of defence like range tanking.

If you just get them for looks and not effectiveness, get whatever you think that looks the best.

I prefer the DFS + Whip for purely aesthetic purposes, but this really isn't the kind of question others can answer for you. And if you want to actually DO something with these things then a DFS would be more useful for slayer (though not as good as a rune def) and training, and a gs would be better for boss hunting.

Guys, he doesn't care about effectiveness. So basically, he's just asking which of those 2 gives him the most "e-respect". Well, none tbh.

I have much more e-respect for someone using whip and defender than for someone using whip and DFS.

 

Now I am stuck in an ethical quandary because I thought I didn't give e-respect. Maybe whip + DFS earns negative e-respect from me.

a High prayer, summoning and herblore are what gives e-respect, while also being 100% worth getting
