I can't comment on the DPS, having never used a balmung... but I'm skeptical that it would be better than a whip. Even if it is better, it's not worth sacrificing a shield. ghjkl Posted June 12, 2010 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Whip is superior, it attacks at the same speed as supreme so you can ss flash, and it deals much more dps.
