Maybe it's because I haven't received any notification of it on my PMs for over two weeks. I never check the thread when doing battle reports, only occasionally when doing plague reports, since they're all on one page. Also, I trust everyone to keep their budgets in order, since I don't keep track of those that carefully, except when you start spending huge sums of money.

Basically this is only part of their forces. I have to give them reinforcements every five years or else you would simply outnumber them and prevail due to your budget resets. :)

Not really, they're great attackers, probably about average defense wise. Cavalry aren't too good for defense.

Italia has commissioned a wall to built in the north, stretching from sea to sea. Gates will be built every mile, but will remain shut until the plague ends. The wall will be built in two stages. Stage one will have the wall built to two feet to keep rats out. Gate holes will be filled with clay to stop the rats. Stage two will complete the wall, and install gates.

 

Italia also apologizes to the Italian States, and asks them to stop trading with other nations, as the wall will protect us both.

Crete continues to be Crete...

 

Following various rejects from the rat breeding experiments, catapults have been order to hurl the rats high into the sky and archers ordered to shoot to the rats as they fall to Crete again. Each archer has a different colour arrow.

This will be done in groups of 100 and will continue until everyone has hit the rat at least once.

 

Out of every 100 archers the person with the lowest skill will be shot out of the catapult. Anyone who hits the body, with an arrow, will be spared, the 9 people who miss will be sent skywards(or the person with the next lowest skill, so that 10 people are killed per hundred, eventually) and offered as free target practice.

 

The process will be repeated each year for 5 years(killing 10%+9%+8.1%+7.29%+6.561% = 40.951% of my archers).

I expect a marked improvement in accuracy and range finding. I also expect alot of bodies, most of which will be mangled by gravity and arrows, but all will all be sent to the Anatomy Labs, where the human body is being studied.

Live criminals are also being sent to the Anatomy Labs.

 

Also, people are being trained how to hold shields. To facilitate this shield groups are ordered to march of 6 hours a day, with their wives/husbands/child/dog/favouriate plant while archers rain down arrows on them. Surviours are sent back the next day and so on and so forth for the next 5 years so that the final team are more than capable of protecting themselves and their assigned archer.

Face facts...If you can't hit a 40 Centimeter object at 200 meters, then you are a damn useless sharpshooting archer.

 

Plus, it is a designed to actually force people to practice more...as killing 10% of my archery force every year for 5 years probably won't help too much...

well, im busy writing a book, but my suggestion is to find the workaholics, and set them to training, not killing off valuable troops. hell, if nothing else, use em as meat shields.

I dunno... If I was a peasant living in that country, I'd be kind of annoyed that my friend was butchered because he wanted to fight for his country but wasn't good enough.

 

Might want to work out a way to placate the masses, next.

People have many ways of being angry, and many reasons why they're mad. Here are a few:

 

Religious unrest: Angry because of the difference in religion. Has a chance of spawning zealots. Quell through either tolerance of the religion or conversion of the populace.

War unrest: Angry because your country is at war. Generally peasants are a bloody lot, and like war, but sometimes you may have some problems. Quell through victories or peace.

Peasants revolt: Angry because of a bad famine or oppresive government. Has a chance of spawning huge mobs of peasants, but happens rarely. Quell through execution or improving living conditions.

Oh, assuming that the Europeans survive the Mongols coming at you (they will receive a few reinforcements, but probaly nothing big), then I will be opening up the east to colonization, warfare, and trade. I've been playing out events in the East as I've been doing battle reports, meaning it may not be the same as the maps that you have stolen off the internet. :thumbup:
