Racer434 Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 So I finished my task of elves today so i could get my slayer helm, and much to my suprise the next task i recieve is none other than her special kalphite queen slayer task. I need some advice on how I can get good gear on a low budget. my stats are 74 attack, 76 str, 81 defense, 89 range, 79 mage, 61 prayer, 54 summoning, 50 herby <- so no extreems :/ my account is really a range tank with 75 melees and since I don't melee often I don't have very good melee gear. Things I think i should do to better prepare. 1. unlock chiv. from knight waves training ground 2. sell my full guthix rune armor and get hexcrest, or sell and buy a whip possibly. This would make me 2 trip the queen with full melee gear and switching to range gear and focus sight for second form after I have banked. all ideas are sort of in the air right now, any help or advice would be appriciated. Ya thats why i'm worried I was thinking about maybe barrowing a bgs and specing than using dscimmy for first form than switching to range on second, while wearing full slayer helm, granite shield, black dhide body, glory, snakeskinboots black vambs, rol ect. mister_moocky Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Yeah, melee first form on your first trip and range her second form on your 2nd. Her protection prayers aren't genuine, they don't actually prevent damage of that type, only buff her defence towards it. However I wouldn't recomend using melee or range throughout both forms with your stats. When meleeing use your best melee gear and pray protection from mage, and when ranging step out of her melee range and pray protection from range. Her melee attacks aren't very accurate however her range and mage attacks hit 200-300 often. quit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you do a majority of the damage (50.000...1%) the DROP counts as your kill, and you will receive the drop. If you do a majority of the damage, it also counts as your kill for slayer. HOWEVER. If you are the one to deal the finishing kill, the kill is also counted towards slayer. Thus, if your friend were to kill it down to 1lp, then you hit a 1 on it, it counts as a slayer task kill. If you accomplish both of these criteria, you get the full slayer xp the monster provides (generally, monster's LP divided by 10, but not always). However, if you only accomplish one of these, you get HALF the typical slayer xp the monster provides. If you accomplish neither, you get no slayer xp and you also get no kill counted towards your task. This is why if you ever cannoned in a multi-combat area, some people stick around despite you doing a majority of the damage. They know that as long as they get the final hit on the monster, they get a kill towards their task. Thus the cannon would help them as well. ~It's Super Effective! On the 2nd trip, i only used 10 sharks. I did this task again like 2 days ago, and she pwned me. It took me 3 trips. I think I failed this task because I prayed mage, and I "THINK" on the 1st task I prayed range, I'm not sure. Also, I forgot to pot up on the 2nd task and remembered after I wasted like 10 sharks. On my 2nd task I prayed mage, steel skin and eagle eye. Watch your pray and make sure it never reaches 0. I don't remember how come I did better on my 1st task. Use diamond bolts (e) for her 1st form, and use runite for her 2nd. You can still hit her with range in her 1st form, it'll just be a lot harder, hence the diamond bolts. You might be able to kill her in 1 trip if you have a terrorbird, because I only ate 10 sharks on my 1st task, 2nd trip. Good luck =D EDIT: Oh yea, my drops.1st task: like 30k worth of iron arrows? Kirbyallstar Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Update: LOL, I just got the KQ challenge again. 2 KQ tasks in 2 or 3 days?!?!? I'll be bringing the same setup and inventory as what I posted, except this time I'll try switching out the granite shield and bringing a zammy book instead. Also, I'll be praying range instead of mage. If I get pwned too much by the mage attack, I'll just tele and count that as a failed trip. Wish me luck on d chain :P EDIT: Oh yea, I remembered why I failed my 2nd task. I didnt bring an antipoison. Replace one of the sharks for a super antipoison. Now that I think about it, I'll still bring the granite shield to help with the melee def. EDIT 2: On second thought, I'm going to pray mage cuz my mage def is only 134 while my range def is 200. Kirbyallstar Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Wow epic fail. So 1st trip, I totally forgot my quickpray was on range, and ended up getting hit hard with mage. She had about 1/3 health left.2nd trip, I swtich back to mage pray, and got hardcore gangbanged by range, ROL saved me with 5 lp left :cry: She has like 1/10 health left.3rd trip, I kill her 1st form and take her 2nd form down to almost dead; Had to tele, FML.4th trip, I fired 2 rune bolts and kill her <_< Drop was rune chainbody.
