Brett0wnz
Ok, should I use ss as my all around weapon, or should I keep my whip for dangerous situations, etc? - 86,939th to 99 Woodcutting on July 10, 2010 (CHOPPED EUCALYPTUS TREES) - Achieved 99 Fletching on November 23, 2010 - Achieved 99 Fishing on November 2, 2011 - Achieved 99 Cooking on November 7, 2011
kingmickez25
Ok, should I use ss as my all around weapon, or should I keep my whip for dangerous situations, etc? Keep A Whip or A dds in case of emergency If you really want to buy a ss buy one but id suggest you borrow one its cheaper. And you only pay for what you really need it for.Ge seems to be crashing a bit but its your money An Alternative is Dragon scimmy im using one and it seems to be working quite well
Troacctid
Use whip whenever you don't need to train strength specifically. Whip + defender is more powerful than the SS. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
Brett0wnz
Yeah I'm thinking that im just gunna use d scim and defender... How much xp per hr do you think I'll loose by using that instead of ss? Anything notable or not? If not, I'll save myself the 10m. thanks - 86,939th to 99 Woodcutting on July 10, 2010 (CHOPPED EUCALYPTUS TREES) - Achieved 99 Fletching on November 23, 2010 - Achieved 99 Fishing on November 2, 2011 - Achieved 99 Cooking on November 7, 2011

If you're going to be training strength for any significant amount of time, the extra speed of the SS will add up to a lot of time saved in the long run. (And if you're not planning to train strength for that long, you might as well just use a whip on controlled.) Levon_
SS has like. 7 more strength bonus than d scim + defender. D scim + defender has like 9 more accuracy bonus. Both make you look like a nub D scim saves you 9m or so. Spend that 9m on a zerker ring. Now you've only lost 3 strength, and you have more accuracy. D scim wins. It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.disregard good advice because the giver is a douche THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON

D scim + rune defender is +86 attack, +71 strength. SS is +82 attack, +82 strength, +2 prayer. That's only 4 accuracy for the scimmy vs. 11 strength and 2 prayer for the SS. Sara sword is just better, and demonstrably so. <_< And like I said, you don't lose money on the SS because you sell it back later and break even. (You can even lend it out for a profit.) You only lose the opportunity of merching with that money, and frankly, if you're any good at merching, 9-10m shouldn't be an issue for you anyway. The whole issue is moot if you train on controlled with a whip, which is faster anyway, but if you're training strength alone you might as well use the best gear available. Brett0wnz
I will be training to 90 strength. So yeah, its quite a bit... I may buy it and then just sell it later. That's not a bad idea. Basically what im doing is training my attk, str, and def all to 90. So should I just stick with whip on controlled? Do you get more/less/same xp than training each one individually? I forget lol. xpx
Well if you are really going for 90 strength you might just aswell look into leveling your dungeoneering up to 80- i know it is quite a bit of work to do and especially at your level, but i bet that if you were to get 99 strength with ss versus chaotic rapier you'd actually save time getting 80 dungeoneering and have gained the level and weapon for a profit(of time). While people on this thread talk about strength or accuracy numbers of up to +10 of one weapon against another, a chaotic rapier+rune defender is +24 strength, +31 accurecy and +20 defence over a saradomin sword, which as anyone would testify, is ALOT. Don't worry about the recharge cost, a rapier with normal nonmulty training will last around 30 hours of combat(66k an hour) which is easily gained back by getting 1.5 times the kills at most training places. Brett0wnz
Since I am getting all of them to 90 at once, I'll probably just stick with the whip on controlled. 80 dungeoneering would be nice, but I dont think its going to happen.
