Kata_Phfract__the_slayer
well basicly peole say no super anti fires: leaf bladed sword > whip > dont bother.super antifires: zamorak spear > everything although chaotic weapons might out class them but idk. so to answer your question, lbs. I'm a Brony and proud of it!
konzserwas
Yeah i knew the ranking you said but it seems like the sol may have been overlooked
Quyneax
Chaotic rapier > Chaotic long > Zamorakian spear > lbs > whipUse antifire shield if you don't use superantifire, otherwise defender. Accuracy > everthing, basically. Sol's strength may be higher, but if it never hit's you're done for. pulli23
You hit only very little with the lbs already, thanks to it's lower accuracy than the whip, the difference between the sol and a whip is minimal. The reduced accuracy of the SOL would mean it hits less often than the LBS, and an extra +25 damage on average IF you hit won't really matter. (at to that that the sol is slower..) First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Sinkhan
Mithril dragons have a very high defence, so in this case accuracy means a little more than strength bonus; this favours the LBS. On top of that, the SoL attacks slower than the LBS anyway. The spec is definitely not worth it since the dragon switches styles so often anyway and the specs as only a minute. konzserwas
I just did a testing duel, i used lbs, my friend used sol, the speed is the same.
Sinkhan
I just did a testing duel, i used lbs, my friend used sol, the speed is the same. Huh. What do you know. I guess when I tried it I had nothing to compare it to so it just seemed slower. But anyway, the accuracy argument is still important. xpx
I'd say leaf bladed sword and fire surge with sol kill steels at the same speed, but lbs is a bit better for irons, magic is better for miths. CR >>> everythign else for all and every dragon(92k attack xp an hour on mithril dragons with maxed equipment, no slayer task). Edit, never thought you'd even think of using SoL as a melee weapon...it's certainly not worth it. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Knight_Zaros
I use ancient staff and defender on waterfiends. Best cheap melee method I could come up with that works good enough. People with Sara sword and zammy spear where obviously faster but still got the job done at a decent rate. Sure they're 30-40k more and need repair, but they have like 20 more crush bonus and quite a bit more strength bonus. I don't know the melee speed of an ancient staff, but I can't imagine it being whip speed.
