July 10, 201015 yr I know there are graphs floating around of Rares' prices over the past... 5+ years. Does anyone know of where/from whom i can locate similar ones for Runes? Thanks
July 10, 201015 yr I don't have a graph but the picture would be that of a positive parabola. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?
July 11, 201015 yr Well as for the higher end runes, I can give some identification: naturesBefore the trade limitations they were "on the rise".. I remember being able to easily sell natures for 330-350 each the summer before GWD came out.. After GWD people had other things to spend money on (before that rares, magic or dragon were really the only high end items). Then after bots were banned, ge was introduced (so much less high alchemy was needed as you could just sell it), and not unimportant the introduction of the infinite rune stocks at shops: The prices dropped like a stone over the next years.. With an all-time low-point of 180 GP a rune I noticed.. After that the nature price "recovered" (though it didn't rise as much as the inflation did) to the price it is now. DeathsBefore the GE they were slightly more worth than the nature runes, simply since less people made them (though they were much harder to sell too).. Staying around a 350 gold. After the GE these were initially already capped at 320 gold, and dropped to the 300 range.. They kept there for a long time, however as the wilderness was removed, and boss hunting started to become a more and more important part of runescape they were bound to drop. (and especially since between the updates to magic-damage boosting of staves there was no improvement of magic for literary years, magic had become obsolete). However since the big inflation these items are "on the rise", quickly recovering to 300 gp a piece. (suddenly magic started to become popular to collect charms, and people had the money to spend made from statuettes). Now with the increase in power from dungeoneering magic is back in business and so are these runes! AstrallsThese are funny runes: before the GE they were hardly ever made (only few people needed them, resulting in a long sell time). Thus once the GE was release many people discovered their uses, and they actually rose in price. Going to as high as 200 gold. After that they fall back to 150ish. (around the fall after the GE was introduced all runes took a big hit).. Now they made their way steadily back to a 200 gold price. bloodThese weren't madeable for a very long time, and the main profit of those "shop buyers". Before all the ANTI-RWT updates happened, they were selling for a very high price, in the 450-500 gold regions. After that they were also initially capped at a much lower price than they were actually worth. However they kept that price for a very long time. When the blood altar was introduced these runes experienced a small "drop", however as crafting these takes almost the same level as crafting double natures, crafting these was pretty much often obsolete.. So they kept stable at 300 gold for a very long time.Since the inflation began the price has been steadily growing to a mere 400+ gold a piece These are runes I knew about when I did my runecrafting (had 85-86 already before the wilderness was removed)Hope that gives you some identification.. Also the place to search would really be zybez.net.. It used to be the main (and only?) price watcher for a very long time First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.

July 11, 201015 yr I know that Duke Freedom used to have his Rare ones up somewhere... does anyone know if he has/had others??As for the rares, here are the graphshttp://www.tip.it/runescape/quest2/graphofphats.pnghttp://www.tip.it/runescape/quest2/graphofsmallrares.png And in my 5 years here, I've never heard even a hint that anyone had tracked rune prices that precisly let alone made a graph so I wouldn't hold my breath...

Let me look if I can find the sheet (it was on my old pc wish is now in the pc heaven, but maybe I still have an backup). I did this only after the GE was settled though (2008ish). As before that zybez kept track of the prices for me. here is a copy First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
July 11, 201015 yr In RSC when bloods first became stable they were 1.200 GP I remember people asking 2k per blood when they were first released and when the mage arena was released, people would even pay up to 3k per blood on occassion. (Not to do the arena but to Pk with claws of guthix or something)Thieving was a golden business back then and lots of people were thieving, thieving is still a pretty rewarding skill nowadays. Then they started to drop all the way down to 800-900, at this point i started my 99 magic goal.So everything you read is from personal experience and i might be wrong, i'm not that good at remembering numbers, especially if i don't have to and if those are numbers from 7 years back. With the relase of RS2 not much has changed the blood rune prices but then after another year or 2 people just refused to pay big money for blood runes, magic wasn't as strong as ranged why should it even cost more? Then with the release of the GE it was only inevitable for bloods to drop even more because they were in the process of a big drop in price when the GE got released. (As with many other items as you have surely noticed)At one moment blood runes were only 350GP ea, that wasn't too long ago they were cheaper than death runes now they're back at 400 gp ea and i think they will become stable at 450-500 gp but that actually depends on the prices of death runes. (Or the updates Jagex gives :P) Natures costed 500-600GP and laws/deaths had the same pricetag.Natures/deaths slooooowly dropped to 400-500GP ea over a span of 4 years, together with deaths they became stable somewhere after the release of RS2 they all costed around 300GP per.Laws remained at 600Gp unti a year after the release of RS2 they started dropping and halted at 500 gp and 400 gp, now they're at ~300 Gp I think Chaos were around 250-300 Gp at first and they've always dropped a little in price and it never stopped, in RS2 they were 160Gp ea, thanks to the GE they were 50Gp ea not too long ago and in my opinion that's way to low but they seem to be rising now i don't know why and for how much/how long. I don't exactly know how expensive mind runes were, i think around 100Gp ea actually but i'm not sure (boy runes costed a ton in RSC in the first few years)Now they're what, 6gp ea?
