Rcing Astrals

Because of the update where you can get multiple runes before those critical levels, astrals are better for you atm, and will be after 82 as well up until the point where double deaths are a possibility (of course, somewhere along that road, natures will be superior).

 

Cast Lunar teleport, do your banking (full bank method will help here), run to altar, repeat. Very simple, and the runs are extremely fast when compared to the abyss.

If you want to get high RC as fast as possible (without ZMI), I would graahk up to 82, do astrals as zaaps1 suggested until 91, then double nats to 99. Nats with a graahk are faster exp while still giving you a chunk of money. Double nats profit about 800k an hour if you do it leisurely.

what level are double deaths? I thought that didnt exist?

They patched the multiple runes update so that double deaths/bloods etc. are possible at higher levels, but not guaranteed. The subsection A Slight Diversion in this guide shows the theoretical rcing lvls and how they are derived :wink: .

ok at level 81 should I stick with deaths until 82 and then double astral, or astral now? what do I need to know to do astrals? what gear? summon pouch? teles? Thanks

 

Do astrals. I think it was just explained by Zaaps that the critical levels no longer exist. Given, the higher the level, the larger chance of getting double of whatever rune that is. But 81 is close enough.

 

At least, I think so.

Exactly, if I were you, I would do astrals now, do natures sometime between ~88-91, then deaths from 91+.

what is the basics of making astrals, I know I have to be on lunar isle, and I assume I will be using a lurker summon, anything else, is there teleing? what spell and what else do I need for tele?

Get an lava staff and get a stock off law runes in inventory -> moonclan tele -> bank -> go to altar -> moonclan tele

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

 

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

 

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

 

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Great, for moonclan tele, I need to first get my prayer to be on lunars? I assume that is the case, but cant hurt to ask the question. I will get some more laws from rcing, I think I have like 800 though

Yes you will need to be on Lunars and thus have finished Lunar Diplomacy.

 

Your defenses are good enough so that you won't need food for the Suqahs. Keep a few in the bank and readily accessable though, just ICE.

Btw if you haven't done dream mentor don't forget to equip the seal.. (otherwise equip a glory to acces edge = faster repair)

You can repair pouches using NPC contact, so there's no need to ever visit Edgeville, which is pretty cool.

Highly recommended you do Dream Mentor. That fat seal weighs like 4kg.

 

Although not so much of a problem now as it was before the run energy update.

Mousekeys allow you to manipulate your cursor with the numpad.

 

They wouldn't be that useful if it weren't for the jump command, holding down ctrl and hitting any of the numpad directional keys will make your cursor jump a specified distance, and it's extremely useful for speeding up menu navigation, emptying a pouch for example, or withdrawing ess from your bank.

 

There are plenty of guides on setting up/using them, on the RSOF, youtube, or perhaps here on tip.it (maybe check the archive of wisdom).
