Disappointed...

First off, I dont HATE the new updates, they're great.

Bonus dungeons, good; rings, good; frost dragon, lookin forward to being able to kill it one day...

BUT, the new construction hotspots? Just 4?! A photo booth (wtf?), a farming patch, a range and an altar...

When I look at all the other skills (namely herblore, smithing, crafting, fletching, summoning, etc.) and see how they have stuff from 1-99 in Dungeoneering, and then look at construction and see a level5, 25, 50 and 75 requirements to build a grand total of 4 different things, it makes me sad.

When July BTS came out, I was really pumped about finally putting my favourite skill to good use, instead I get this crap. Honestly, I wonder how much time they spent on this? 10 minutes perhaps.

Why couldn't they have made tiered items for contruction? Maybe a tier 10 altar gives 10 more prayer points per recharge, and a tier 10 range never burns food up to tier 9, possiblities are endless!

All in all, very disappointed with the hotspots, but the others were cool.

You need wc for doors. Groupstone tele and altars are pro, idc about the rest. Groupstone means that the entire team can quickly get to a mime/lever/gd, and use their own gates to get back to where they were before.

I can see a point to the other things, but a skill cape stand ...in a dungeon ...when we can't take anything but a ring and an orb down there?

I had to go searching for where to build these since there're no hotpots.

Update didnt live up to its full potential but it is pretty good I would say

I agree it's good, but like I said, there were so many possibilities, and I didn't expect less than tiered construction items. Guess I was wrong

I don't understand. Why can't they just put a farming patch in the starting room by default? Sure, I can understand cooking ranges and prayer altars, but why not farming patches?

Also, what pisses me off even more is the fact that you can only use one of each type of bone on prayer altars. Disappointing...

WC has a use, to chop higher tiered logs for better cooking results, although it's one of the less useful skills. Technically, all skills have a use in dungeoneering.

With the new construction update, we can build a grand total of 5 new things! Woohoo! And what? A skillcape stand that requires 99 dungeoneering... lol.

I was merely hoping for something like this in this update:

lv 1: tier 1 farming patch (2 novite bar + 2 tier 1 logs)

lv 4: tier 1 range (3 bars + logs)

lv 8: tier 1 altar (5 bars + logs)

...

lv 98: tier 10 altar

Not a photo booth, lv 25 farming patch, lv 50 range, lv 75 altar... <_<

So what if its just 5 new things, its still more useful than woodcutting.

Uhh, not really....

Look I don't want to get into an arguement here about whether construction or woodcutting is more useless so, let's just drop it and not get off topic.

Its completely on topic.

Your dissapointed about construction being useless. And while its hardly the most useful skill in dungeoneering, its definately not the least useful.

It's off topic. I'm not saying construction is the most useless skill in dungeoneering, nor am comparing anything.

You can't compare construction and wc, one's a processing skill and the other is a resource skill.

You can compare wc with fishing/ mining/ farming, etc. where theres 1 tier every 10 levels.

Now if you look at fletching, cooking, crafting, (and other processing skills), you'll notice they have different tiered stuff you can make.

I'm ranting about how the update hardly made any difference at all to how construction is used in Daemonheim. I mean, look at it, 5 zeph + 5 bovi for a level 75 altar... That doesn't make sense to me when I look at other skills.

I would say the use of the portal far benefits the use of any other hotspot. The group portal is almost the key essential item to have in a large dungeon as it can move groups of people from across the map in a matter of seconds.

That being said, I don't really think putting to many options in the main hot-spot is a great idea. I would hate to remove my portal for something that's not quite as useful. I think it would be better to have more hot-spots scattered around the map.

This way you could build multiple group portals, multiple alters, and multiple of anything you wanted. This would also open room for different types of construction items in different rooms, such as the option to make a furnace or anvil in a certain room, but not in others.
