Ever since I first completed plague city the elven quest series has been the most interesting to me. Going through a perilous cave, entering the elven forests, and finding the death alter were just some of the most fun parts for me. With the ending of Within the Light revealing the passage way to Prifddinas I'm getting axious to see what happens next.

 

For those of you that have beaten this quest do you think that Jagex will come out will a new quest to the series soon that finally allows us the enter the crystal city of Prifddias?

Perhaps, but I'm sure Jagex will release a quest that allows us to enter the crystal city.

The Elven quest series has been brought back by Mod Chris L, however he's been rather busy with dungeoneering as of late. He said that there would either be 2 long quests, or one extremely long one to round off the series. They're waiting for the graphics department to get their arse in gear to make the city look fantastic.. So don't expect the city to be raised from the ground anytime soon.. Id' say late this year / early next year for a new Elf quest.

 

I do love the elves and it's a shame that it's taken this long after MEPII to get going again, but progress is progress. Now gimme that crystal halberd!

I'm really glad that Mod Chris L is working on it, 'cause all of the content he makes is pretty much gold.

Mm, last I heard they weren't going to release it until they were sure they could make it look amazing (perhaps it'll take technical behind the scenes work before they can achieve this).

 

I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

I didn't know that jagex released anything about the quest so that's good to hear. I've also been waiting for the day I can get my hands on a crystal haliberd.

They will. Guaranteed. Just be prepared to wait months/years for it....well, seeing as Jagex is trying to finish off quests, I'd say under a year. Hopefully.

Why is Chris L the new Elven curator? Mod Dylan is back at Jagex.... I dont think he will be content with only doing Elemental Workshop quests after being the original developer for the most interesting quest series in the game...

Not a new engine, just enough resources (time + developers). If they developed the city this year it would have meant no Dungeoneering. (inb4 Dung haters rage)

Give them another 5 years to release the city lol

I didnt understand why he couldnt continue on it. He could have made some torturous puzzle for us to do which would make the city grow back.

Mod Dylan came back when Within the Light was already in progress, what this means for the next Elven content, I don't know. But I really hope they will work together, would be a nifty piece of quest we would get then. :P

To make the city grow back, you must perform an Elven Rock Concert and you must deduce the notes to play "Master of Puppets" by yourself and play them at 100% accuracy :thumbup:

 

But yeah, I'm not too great with puzzles (well, I can solve them very quickly once I know what I'm doing, but the problem is learning what to do, lol). Hopefully they'll give us the option to buy our way out of the puzzle?

This has been my most awaited update for the longest time. It would be cool if you went in and the city was completely reverted to seed form, and you had to some how create the city again. I just don't want the city to end up not being used... there needs to be something BIG there (also a teleport on the normal spellbook?) that will help people utilize the city.

 

This needs to be the big boy grandmaster quests of all quests! And an epic and extremely useful reward to go with it! (Like anything I touch turns to partyhats)

If you've completed Within the Light, you'll find out that some of your ideas are infact true! I doubt that we'll see a normal teleport there. Most likely an Elf Crystal will be used as a teleport. Perhaps with free enchanting?
