Wisp
This being said, I will not promise peace to anyone (other than my allies, naturally), especially one who has threatened me unprovoked. Doesn't mean I'm going to attack you, but making any promises in this game that could be broken will only make my countrymen mad, as will being threatened by another country and bowing to their will. Wisp
Considering much of that is fairly opposite of what we've been spreading, it shouldn't have much effect. Especially the bit about women, given that women are now equal to men under the law, and given the same rights.Considering the speeches, which is most of what we are doing, pamphlets back them up, are given by well known revolutionaries, and they've been speaking about prussias offer, and have been for months before you came in, having 500 hated prussians march through our lands will result in their death by mobs. Almost guaranteed, not even of my doing. Hegemony-Spain

Wisp
I've mentioned the speeches and pamphlets talking about the Prussian's "deal" since you first offered it, I think. Unless it was only in a PM to dusty I mentioned it. I forget. Either way, most of revolutionary France hates Prussia, is ambivalent to Austria, and doesn't care much about anyone else. Ambivalent toward Austria because they attacked france, but they attacked the imperials and weakened them. It's up to dusty, but I'd assume that most of the revolutionaries just want to deal with France, and be left alone by foreigners. That said about to go to bed. Either way, most of revolutionary France hates Prussia, is ambivalent to Austria,Like we both say, Dusty decides...but to me, Austria invaded France(the country)....Prussia has done nothing...bar argue (And most of that has been about talking to resolve differences and not killing innocents) and getting attacked by revolutionaries....(Which you say are not part of your revolution) so hate is perhaps overzealous.... http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Wisp
Wait, what revolutionaries? I never had an army before yesterday or so. EDIT: Oh, do you mean the ones who would likely attack your troops? I mean it this way. They are my people, but they aren't part of an army so I can't order them around just like that. But if you walked two Russia Commies into a normal american town in the 50's, they'd be torn apart. But would that be the government doing it? No. If China were, right now, to tell the US to surrender Alaska and Hawaii, and split itself into two different countries, and then pay for any troops the Chinese would need to enforce that, Americans wouldn't care because China hadn't actually done anything, right? I'm done with analogies for the day. Hegemony-Spain

I never had an army before yesterday or soPrussian revolutionaries who, when I went to talk to them, decided to attempt to kill me.Anti-Monarchists, prefer violence and are generally unstable...Which is, according to Dusty, the norm the period (Since Dusty said that 'Reasonable'(Talking is reasonable, apparently) people are few and far between.)Seems to be a massive difference in knowladge in this game...Its like playing blindmans buff at the cliff edge. If China were, right now, to tell the US to surrender Alaska and Hawaii, and split itself into two different countries, and then pay for any troops the Chinese would need to enforce that, Americans wouldn't care because China hadn't actually done anything, right?Slightly correction...The US is fighting over the 13th ammendment...and Alaska and Hawaii are controlled by Slave Owners, apart from that, correct. Anyway, France wasn't suppose to agree to the peace treaty...and as a concept it is more damaging than helpful....Here is a peace treaty with BOTH sides getting something, and it is rejected....Meaning that a peace treaty in the future is pretty unlikely...Which means neither side is gonna get hung up with people going 'We should talk about this' because we have talked about it...So unless Dusty is using a die (Which would explain the massive differences in knowladge...and would mean that nothing we do has any effect...) to work out the big important decisions, things should develop along a straight forward path, in France...In Prussia I am probably gonna be facing a peasent revolt or something. archimage_a
I paraphrased. Cathy supports the French Revolution, the French Revolution supports the removal of the Monarchy. Therefore Cathy supports the removal of the Monarchy....What you actually support is immaterial, since the French people do not have wikipedia or twitter, so, short of travelling to Revolutionary France or blanketing the area with leaflets, there is no way for you to counter those arguments... My soliders getting mob killed, tortured and all that jazz probably will though. *According to historian Eric Hobsbawm, "the French language has been essential to the concept of 'France'", although in 1789, 50 percent of the French people did not speak it at all, and only 12 to 13 percent spoke it fairly well; even in oïl language zones, it was not usually used except in cities, and even there not always in the outlying districts.Probably not all that important, but if you wanted to roleplay it then you could http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree.
