December 4, 200520 yr I don't know....it just started snowing here kinda thickly this morning and when I saw, I felt really happy. I really love the holiday season for many reasons: 1. Family and friends together 2. SHOPPING! (ever been to the mall during the holidays? awesomeness...) 3. Presents, of course 4. FOOD yum yum yum 5. Parties (I dont know about you, but I go to about 6-7 Christmas parties every year.... ) Well, those are my favorite things about Christmas. Please add your own, and they don't just have to be about Christmas, you can write about holidays in general. (or if you're Jewish, you can write about Hannukah, etc.)
December 4, 200520 yr Well ehm... i like being with friends and sometimes with family. But Christmas isn't anymore what it should be, the commercial aspect is much bigger then the original thought, the birth of Jesus. That's sad... ~Gamerr
December 4, 200520 yr Since I don't enjoy Christmas much anymore... 1. Food 2. ... That's about it. Just 'cause you don't get lotsa' pressies. :P What I love about Christmas: 1 - Off school. (Obvious one) 2 - Presents/Shopping 3 - Food & Drink. 4 - ... Food. 5 - Playing with presents. :D -Mitch- New sig to come!

December 4, 200520 yr skating while its snowing? It doesn't snow ALL the time. And it doesn't last the complete duration of the holidays. -Mitch- New sig to come!
December 4, 200520 yr skating while its snowing? It's still around 70+ degrees where I live. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.
December 4, 200520 yr I like the food and the presents... I don't much care to go to parties or go shopping since I don't like public places around the holiday season. There are way too many people in the malls and on the roads. It makes me nervous. :?
December 4, 200520 yr Author well im not christian, so i dont really celebrate christmas as a religious holiday. but i love the SHOPPING more than anything!!! its so much fun, not just getting presents yourself but buying them for other people too. oh yes, and of course, i love the fact that there is no school.

December 4, 200520 yr My favorite thing about Christmas has got to be (at the moment) the fact that my town's Christmas decorations stop me having to walk home in the darkness every night after college. Usually I don't like the decorations, but when it's the difference between darkness and light, I find them quite pleasant. deviantart account
December 4, 200520 yr Author oh ok yeah, those crazy people that live on the bottom of the world have christmas in the middle of summer :D . seriously, it is the middle of summer. personally, i'm glad to have christmas in the winter. Otherwise, it just doesnt feel like christmas. And think about it, if christmas was in the summer, winter would be totally depressing, with school, grey skies, and no fun. I once had christmas down south in Florida. It was kinda nice for the fisrt time, but it really didnt feel like christmas. The whole idea of sitting in front of a warm fire, singing carols in the cold, watching the first snowflakes is what makes christmas christmas for me.

Here in Sweden, there is always snow when it's Christmas, and it's what makes the whole thing feel christmasy. A few days before snow came this year, the christmas decorations were already up, but it didn't feel like Christmas at all. Then a few days later when it snowed, it suddenly just hit me how soon Christmas is. Thanks for the sig, Runesmithie :)RIP Steve Irwin
