xIJakkIx
I'm currently training magic and buying loads of runes. I have worked out a tactic that I'm only going to use the Wind and Fire attacks to level and have bought a Staff of Air, Fire and some Air runes (for Fire attacks). But eventually, as I level up I need lots of different runes as well Fire and Air, such as Mind for the first category then Chaos for the second. So I'm losing a lot of money here. Is there any decent routine to gain money from magic other than High/Low Alchemy?
DarkerFalz
I found that using Fire Bolt on iron dragons (using sol/chaos gaunts though) made me some cash. The Mage Training Arena, if you choose to get either infinity boots or the mage book, does make some cash. Owned_Nex
IF you want speed, there is no way to profit off of training magic. To get lots of EXp and minimize loss, try superheating Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Or even abyssal demons, actually. And there may be others. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

homer205
I don't know if any of you looked at his stats but that account isn't ranked for anything so I'm guessing he can't do most of those sugestions if it's that account. The only thing you can really do to lessen the cost of the runes themselves is to make them using runecrafting. You may also want to make use of a caged/weak monster (there's a monk of zamorak locked away in varrock palace), put on melee armour to reduce magic accuracy and cast the curse spells (the ones that use body runes). The armour will make you splash your spells, allowing them to be recast on the same monster. Because the curse spells don't deal damage anyway you won't be losing xp from the damage you're not hitting. Body runes are also cheap (5gp each)
SirIzenhime
i guess since it hasn't been mentioned yet.... You'd save more money if you bought fire runes and used and Air staff rather then buying air runes and using a fire staff. As for money, green/blue dragons are easy to mage when you hit decent levels. Metal dragons are also good when you can use good fire spells or have chaos gloves.
