Iron dragon task

I finally unblocked iron dragons and Kuradal was super nice enough to give me some to kill. :rolleyes: What's the faster way to kill them: mage or melee? I'm going to be in Kuradal's dungeon.

 

Stats - attack, strength, defense, magic, prayer, summon, LP are 99

 

Melee gear - prossy, LBS, FSH, d boots, super antifires. rune defender, glory, barrows gloves, ferocious ring

 

Mage gear - mystic, SOL, fire surge, infinity boots, rest is same as above

get a z spear, and that will be much faster then mage.

Melee is probably even still faster with LBS

yea, a Z spear would probably get you the fastest amount of kills, or a chaotic rapier if you have one lying around

Even if your surging i believe melee has a slight advantage,

Used to hate iron tasks, now I just piety + melee prayer and "afk". Works fine for me :)

I believe that a whip is better than LBS, especially at your att lvl; either way melee will probably still be faster especially without a stream necklace.

Zammy spear is going to be best. Use piety/turmoil.

I tested 200 kills without potions prayer or slayer gear on 200 irons, 200 blacks and 200 steels and on every occassion my whip did more dps.

 

Am i missing something?

 

Edit: I was also faster at killing irons than a lv 138 with zammy spear which was just like me testing and not using potions nor slayer gear (excl super antifires duh)

Whip isn't that good. It can't overpower a 138 using Z Spear, Pots, Slayer helm on task

As said, use melee with a d-spear and super-antifires. It's worth turmoiling or pietying and using the best offensive potions at your disposal as well. Just don't let that super antifire rune out :thumbup:

If you use unicorn + prossy top/verac skirt + piety you could tank them too.

 

Unless you'd rather use pack yak to bank the bars/bones
