DUNGEONEERING (finally) Best way to key

This is the url, discuss it and let me know what you think of it.

It's a simple application where you select your dungeon size and click & drag the keys, altar, boss and more onto the floor plan

If it doesn't work the first time, as in, not all the keys are to the right, simply refresh the page

It's great, it's handy, it helps heaps

No more writing down where each key is

(it's not my application)

Edit:

Here's one "crashNburn" has in his siggy, he has also posted below. It's more complex and many may find this one better to use

Eh, refreshing and relaying the keys if you don't get the right home cell is really not feasible.

I prefer my sig ;[

I've looked at yours, and i agree, it's more complex, however that's the reason why i like the one i posted more

It's faster and more user friendly, in my opinion anyway

But thanks for posting yours too :)

Worth mentioning it's not really mine either :D, I helped a tiny bit with the cells-shifting and that's it.

I can see quite a few areas for improvement, but des is pretty adamant/lazy about not changing it until he gets some feedback. I wouldn't be surprised if he originally got the idea from the link you posted. Do you know the author?

I've put your application, the one in your sig, on the main post as well, i hope that's okay with you.

Good to see that this is spreading. The pm link in the css on the page is for a different website, but if you have questions/suggestions you can pm them to me on here as well.

Thanks for making it(i'm assuming you're the creator)

You have any other plans anytime soon for DG~ related things?

Indeed I am, no problem. Originally it started out as a terrible microsoft paint document that you had to select and drag, and then after some critique on another board I got around to making this.

For now I'm going to use it to hopefully (finally) pass 80 dungeoneering, but if I find anything that helps a lot along the way,, such as skill-specific door icons, a way to track optimum routes, etc, it'll be added onto the same application. If such a thing does happen, the link will more than likely remain the same, so nothing will have to be changed on your part.

Yeah, i also like the drag & drop in the first link

#3325 to 99 Smithing #4332 to 99 Herblore

i think this would only slow me down

i just remember what all the locked doors are, so in the time it takes to drag the key i could have done something else

a_final_name.png

A good keyer should memorize the doors instead of recording them

In line with a new change of policy, we are no longer allowing any advertisement of third party software/programs/clients. It is not practical for staff to examine and approve every downloadable link that a user wants to advertise, and even if it were practical, there is always the possibility that the user changes the link to something malicious after we approve it. Because of this, we have decided to disallow them across the entire forum.
