Aquanites or waterfiends?

Featured Replies

Ive heard aquanites have the 3rd highest drop rate of blues(behind dark beasts, which I dont have the level to kill, and bork, obviously)

I also know for a fact that waterfiends have a high crim drop rate.

Now, I know how to kill them both just fine, having done so many times, but I was wondering: Would it be better to get to kill waterfiends to 89 summoning, and than aquanites from 89 to 99? Or stick with waterfiends all the way to 99? (notice; I have 76 sum banked)

Also, should I use that 'triple charm' reward from that summoning d&d for waterfiends or aquanites?

Waterfiends, never hunt for blue charms

Finally on here to update that I have officially quit! It's been fun.

Roger that, thanks for the info. I did an aquanite trip and yes, they are terrible for charms. Waterfiends it is.

Waterfiends, never hunt for blue charms

Well why not lol?

I understand the logic that they are quite an uncommon drop compared to other charms, but there are some monsters which drop them very reliably and very quickly. My main examples would be TD's/Corp. I understand that its slighlty off topic, but you shouldn't be so definitive with your answer

Much faster to get crimson charms(even with TDS dropping blues).

Do not seek the blue charms, let the blue charms seek you.

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Because even with monsters dropping lots of blue charms, you can still get many many more crimsons at waterfiends. If you are TDing or Corping for money or fun, definitely take the charms, but don't use that as a way to get charms. I know a guy who has over 4k blues from TDs, but if he spent the same time at Waterfiends, he would have far more (im guessing like 15k) crimson charms. For TDing to be worth it for blue charms, you need to be able to get at least 1 blue charm for every 2.1 crimson charms you get at waterfiends. And that is only if you are 89 summoning. At 95 summoning, you need to get 1 blue charm in the time it takes to get 1.8 crimson charms for TDing to be the same charm xp rate as waterfiends.
