September 17, 201015 yr QFC: 129-130-643-61676752 What do you guys think of Mods who use the "M" in their crown as another letter to make a creative player name? Personally, I think this devalues all mods as the crown is supposed to be a symbol of authority, and that the player can be trusted. I don't think Jagex gave them crowns for another letter. If Jagex wanted to give player mods another letter in their name, they would have a 13 character limit. In a time when Jagex stresses that Mods are players above all, it seems contradictory to allow them to use the crown in ways like this. It kind of seperates Players from Mods more, in a time when Player angst against Mods is at an all time high. What are your guys thoughts? Personally I think it makes the Mods who do it draw attention to their crown. Jagex (I think) doesn't want Mods who draw that much attention to themselves, but tbh it's hard to tell what Jagex wants anymore Should the Player Mod Crown be used as a letter 'M' in their username? Does this alienate Mods even more from 'normal players'? Do they have the right to own a '13 letter username'?
September 17, 201015 yr How do you propose to stop them.....? Not all of them use the "M." It might feel a bit unfair, but I don't see any practical way to stop them. And there's much better things to be concerned about imo. Then again, there's better things to worry about then video games, yet I still worry (depending on the context...) Squab unleashes Megiddo! September 18, 201015 yr I knew a few mods that did that (Self included at one point, though when I did it both names could stand alone).Jagex really doesn't have a problem with it unless we use it for "\m/od". It was actually very creative at first, now it's just a bit overdone. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
