Did dungeoneering monsters get tougher?

I tried to do a floor after months of not dungeoneering and ran into a tough fight. I found an altar room with a 138 forgotten warrior guarding it and stepped up to kill it. I know melee isn't the best, but I tried anyway since it worked before and the only way I killed it was with deflect melee prayer. I switched my attack style from crush to slash to stab and used the saps, leeches and turmoil and still couldn't hit it. The rest of the floor wasn't as bad, but not far off.

Did the monsters get tougher or I get weaker?

melee usually barely hits if not all teamates wheere attacking it, personalily i woulda dropped a gatestone and gone back to make runes, ive been doing that lately if i ever go dging

The once was a mexican called pepsi,

Or maybe it's just he had Hep C,

He was a pretty cool bro,

Bros generally are you know,

He hailed from the land of 'taters,

He was known to hate many-a-hater,

He likes a girl named Lacey,

His thoughts about her are kind of racy,

And also his dad likes to [rooster].

You found a warrior wearing Primal , what did you expect

Your best bet is to make runes, or use whichever style they're weakest too

If they're wearing a chainbody+skirt, use stab, if they're wearing a Platebody+legsm use crush, if they're topless, use your most accurate stat.

It's possible. Monster difficulty scales based on a number of factors, including the type of dungeon and the levels of the players on your team. If you selected more difficult settings for your floor, or if you leveled up combat since you last dungeoneered, you could certainly end up with stronger enemies to fight.

It's typical for high-level forgotten warriors to be tough, though. They're very resistant to melee and they can hit pretty hard. If it's an especially tough one and it's blocking a guardian door that you need to enter, the best solution is probably to bust out some runes and use magic; otherwise, if you can, I recommend you just ignore it and dash past without bothering to fight.

It's not the first time I fought a forgotten warrior, just that this one I could not hit at all. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to say I nearly got owned by a 77 bat, too. :P

Not asking for easier monsters with primal drops. I know they're rare. I've only seen a primal hatchet from a boss drop myself. I'm curious if the monsters had been ramped up.

EDIT: This was in a medium C6 solo with prom spear ++, prom plate and katagon legs (found).

The NPC's in Daemonheim are FAR harder than those on the outside for one reason:

The NPC's get equipment bonuses that are scaled to their levels, thus making a 138 warrior have the equivilant of full primal gear for bonuses on top of a att/str/def/hp (without prayer or summoning) that gives them 138. To me that pretty much means one tough customer that in order to deal with; you have to bring food and booster prayers along with a possible class ring bonus into play.

"In order to lead, you must learn how to carry your followers upon your shoulders"

"A man is not only defined by his abilities, but also by those of the men with which he surrounds himself"

"The meek fight for skill and fame, the strong fight for power with the skill and fame they already have"

"There is no good without sacrifice and no sacrifice without mercy"
