Being mildly bored, but also doing something, I have come up with a price guide for some stuff. If you have any additional ideas I will add them with prices and available levels.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/Space/Price%20Guide.txt

We currently have 280kT

Asteroid Mining generates 1 kT per 5 minutes (If anyone has any ideas to spice this up a bit, please say), depending on the thickness of the asteroid belt.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

You increased the price of the refinery?

Yeah, I had originally had the list in credits, but realised that different systems/countries should charge different amounts, so I knocked three zeros off and added kT.

Any ideas how the Materials would be useful, or not?

Well maybe we could find rare materials, some useful for actual things (damage boost, hull upgrade boost, speed of construction boost) and some that would just be useful to sell.

Also, can you mine asteroids out of session?

Retech, say 50 kT between sessions.

We can have rare materials...Can someone come up with a list of properties, then I will do the names and rarity and such.

Okay, so we have a lot to do next session.

Have we already headed to the Arch system? If not, the Kirby will probaly remain near the asteroid belt mining, because there are a lot of things to be done before it can be used for combat.

We have left Sol already.

General Materials:

Materials I have mentioned in game and not added should be PMed to me, along with any details you may have.

Technobabbles and Plotlines may use materials that aren't mentioned here.

I would remind people that we will be starting at 5pm GMT, this means that many Americans will be at school/college/working or whatever, including Jen, so the ISS Kirby will be bringing up the rear, arriving some hours later.

Also, I believe I have a Graviton Hellbore built, so you can take one of the antiproton beams for the Kirby.

Since Hellbores are low range, and the Kirby will usually be at the back of the fight until we get it fully equipped, beam weapons are probably a better choice (Ergo, I gave the tri barrel antiproton beam to the Kirby)

I'm going to be shuttle mining for the Kirby, to upgrade it. After we get a new bay for the Unity ofc.

Seeing how in this case it wouldn't be gamebreaking as we could never get our hands on large quantities, how about naquadah (same tensile strenght as lead, melts at the same temp as titanium, twenty times as heavy as gold, as rare as platinum(but only found on some planets) and amplifies energy in the form of electricity and radiation as well as detonating with extreme power (1kt/kg) when exposed to an already powerful explotion (around MOAB in power) or put on an energy loop)?

Ooh, shiny new metals. Sounds fun.

And Dusty, how can we make this work? I feel like we keep getting into ridiculous fights.

I think the problem is mostly me, but you're the Captain. You need to stay in control and make sure everyone has something to do. We're easily distractable, and distraction can quickly turn into dissent and destruction. We also need more of a Democracy, badly, a Dictatorship may work for you and make damage control a bit easier, but if you work more on deflecting problems rather than disposing of the remains then listening to the crew will work in all our favour.

Same system of command on the Kirby, but I'll leave law and order to Nero.

I'll mainly be working on planning on the construction of the Kirby, and making sure that people's efforts don't conflict. In the event that I'm not on, Nero and Jeremiah will be in control. Otherwise, please assume it's sorta "floating" besides the Unity, not getting into fights.

Anyone who blows up the ship will have to give me 400k + and the amount in addition spent to building to the ship fund. So don't be that person!

(I would strongly recommend hiding the Kirby on an asteroid somewhere, because I have no qualms about blowing it up or having it captured by enemies if it is just floating about next to the Unity....Because, lets face it, if you came across the situation: There is a heavily armoured battleship with a good weapons and a poorly armoured battleship with good weapons...you are gonna destroyed the poorly armoured battleship with good weapons first.

Also the Kirby is slow as hell.)

If the Kirby was hiding on an asteroid somewhere in the asteroid belt, would anything happen to it while I was gone?

Retech, on condition that you don't then purposefully leave it on an inhabited asteroid, or tell people where it is.

Elsewise I am ok to say the ship would be TOTALLY safe (from NPCs and me, if someone (aka Ross) wants to come along and blow it up then they can) on the asteroid. So no random collisions or ships which detect it on patrol.

Ok, sounds fair.

Ross and Nero, should the Kirby go to Arch with you or stay in the Sol system?

The refinery seems expensive, but we can save up some unprocessed materials and wait so that when we get the refinery, we'll get the money back really quickly.
