Retech, you nearly destroy it on a regular basis WITHOUT it beinfiting anyone but you. And even then, it's detracted by the constant repairs i and others have to make for it. I SWEAR i will keep it in good condition, and that you may have my spot os second in comand after your fate is decided, but i will not continue allowing you to damage that ship in nearly irreparable ways.

Anyways, the Arnament Privileges would mean that you have access to extra budgeting for weapon production and you're allowed to make use of any weapons or weapon technology aboard the ships. I think we might want to limit crew access to combat gear. Otherwise they could pull the same stunts I did, transporting bombs and hacking through AI defenses. Arnament Privilege and Subordinate and up would be able to use ship weapons. This will prevent mutinies and unnecessary conflict.

 

EDIT: Also, perhaps I don't need arnament privileges, I pretty much just want the BLITZ to see use.

Yeah, so long as you don't fight or threaten to fight the crew Earth. Otherwise, I think you should have whatever you want.

 

Actually, maybe you don't need the privileges. You rely too much on melee, and you're too valuable to the crew to risk. You can fight when you want, but you probably won't be a primary combatant. I think we can have John as a fighter.

Dude, i snipe first, then throw the hammer, then shotgun, and only pull out the last two weapons when i have too. Although i have an idea for a gravity harpoon launcher like Mather suggested.

Yeah. I suppose you're right. You're generally the most practical crewmember. You should just know when to use what, maybe run a few more sims before you go into big combat. You're the only repairman anyways.

A Swiss Vessel is requesting docking permission with the Unity. It is, according to recieved communications, a cargo vessel, carrying a care package for Echo. The cargo consists of 300 kT of raw materials, a Shuttle and blueprints for the Disruptor Rifle, level 10.

A Terran Federation Shuttle is requesting docking with the Unity to discuss issues with Theros.

A British Ship has arrived and is requesting permission to beam a crewman aboard to discuss issues with Jeremiah.

 

Also, 3 kT of damage has been done to the Unity by Hunter Seeker Drones sent by the UN.

Well I didn't actually get the chance to make this package, so it was the NPC Jen who did this. My best guess is that it's either a bomb (because she's naturally like that) or it's the package of technologies that I was keeping from everyone (level 30 shielding, yippee).

 

Maybe open it inside a crew quarters or something so that if it turns out to be a bomb, it won't do as much damage?

It's probably anthrax. I'll bet 3,000 EC, anyone gonna take me up on that?

 

I think we should open it in a cargo bay, whichever one is empty. Preferrably the Saber's.

Actually, I didn't think of anthrax. That probaly is more fitting. The ultimate weapon of revenge, used throughout the ages.

A safer bet would be to scan the package first though, instead of just opening it.

I say we leave it and a drone on an outer asteroid, then have the drone open it while we're safely far, far away. If it's valuable and/or useful, we go back and grab it. If it's a bomb, we lose a drone.

You didn't realize that until now? I've never tried to do any harm, I've just got a severe case of bad luck, something a few limitations can't change.

You understand the choice here, correct? It's eather metagaming, or playing properly. I'm not denying either one yet, just trying to get everyones thoughts on the matter.

 

If we give the Saber to Jen, it would be metagaming to a fairly large measure, and I don't like metagaming if I can avoid it.

 

If we do not, it isn't really entirely fair, and I don't like not being fair either.

 

The "If I can't have it, no one can" option will NOT be taken, and you should feel bad for thinking it. It would also be metagaming.

 

PS. The package will be opened from behind sterile, bomb proof, one way looking glass.
