About Space Diaries...After reading Stork's Log after he read my log...it seems a little plot destroying to just give out my log...on the other hand it gives me a chance to reveal stuff that didn't make it into the game for reason X.

 

So, I thought about encrypting it(Yay, fun, puzzle)...But am now(With the original cleverly deleted) thinking maybe it is just too much work to lumber you with...

 

So my question is, do you want to roleplay accurate encrypted version with just 'AI LOG' as your clue to solving it.

Or do you want the simple, time friendly version?

 

A middle ground would be the encrypted version is released when I have written it after the session...the unencrypted version is released after the next session.

 

I don't know, think about it, give me your views and we will still what turns up.

Archi, I actually googled help for that cryptogram. Kinda regret it, would've been an epic puzzle. :(

Faust, a good strategy would be to solve a few lines individually and use their letters for the rest of em. Long ones are easier than short ones. There are programs where you put in which letter changes to which and it'll do it for you.

So, what is our next course of action?

Ross, next course of action is to get a suitable weapon to blow the blob to explosive firey HELL. Or use gravity to warp its fields and form into a more managable size.

Earth, this isn't the kind of enemy which can be destroyed by brute force. As it has already demonstrated, it will absorb any wavelength of EM radiation, and it will absotb and be unnaffected by our weaponry.

 

Conventional tactics don't work on eldritch horrors.

EMP seemed to work just fine on it. Ion Cannon with the EMP paving a way for a shot?

That's why I said you should boost it with cold fusion generators in the other thread, then the shuttle should have enough speed to get away.

Does the EMP actually work? I mean the thing absorbed the sun like no tomorrow, and it was unaffected.

The EMP disabeled it's absorbtion field, which absorbed the sun. Big enough bomb can knock it out long enough for a shot.

No, it MIGHT have disabled the field. All we know is that we picked up extremely faint signal before the EMP was destroyed.

I think that we should stay in Sol for the time being, unless the nations are hostile. In that case, we should try and find an uninhabited system somewhere.

I'm of the opinion that we stay the hell away from that thing until we know how to kill it.
