If used in a wide source, it would have rendered the entire crew unconcious. It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? I was the head stealth researcher on the ship, I researched thermal blades, an omni tool, night an thermal vision goggles, and my suit was pretty powerful. Icuownage Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 Well Gavrill's first betrayal came when he took out captain Jerimiah with a tranq gun, blew up a British ship for ze Russian's and then he was severely punished, even though he didn't actually harm any of the crew and eanred the crew more money. Gavrill then helped save the crew when they were attacked by America. He saved Retech. Gavrill then finally fully betrayed everyone when he was sent off to a Russian ship, got a woman pregnant (without my consent) and then was sent to act as a mole. He then made it obvious to the crew his intentions. And was caught developing a weapon to knock out everyone on the ship. But Gavrill is no longer my character XD. If I did join back though, I know I would just be a traitor again so there really isn't any point to it. D:, I just love challenging the higher ups to see if they really deserve to be there. So far so good. The_Mather1 Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 Well, I just thought of an explanation of why the Hoverboard outperforming a shuttle is not neccessarily a good thing:Compare a motorcycle and a Tank: The Motorcycle out performs the tank on almost all counts (speed, acceleration, turning while moving, fuel efficency, ability to pass through gaps, etc) of being used as a point to point method of transportation, However you would have to be absolutely insane to pick the Motorcycle for use in a Combat zone as the Tank is by far better in several important areas of performance (Having a weapon that is useful against things other than infantry, armor, inertia, turning in place). Unsuprisingly it seems that the Hoverboard and Shuttle are very close analogs to a motorcycle and tank respectivelyI would say the shuttle is more like a heavy jeep, while it can be used in combat, it is not primarely intended for such and will be beaten by actual fighters.But the hoverboard isn't actually intended for combat... well, it is... but that's as a first strike. Shuttle is more like a shuttle, and a hoverboard is more like a hoverboard. Shuttle is large, multi-seat, armoured, weapon mounted, cargo-carrier.Hoverboard is a small, single person, unprotected, unarmed, low carry weight(relatively), personal carrier. Shuttle can be used in combat, it can take a good few hits with normal grade weapons.Hoverboard can't really be used in combat, one shot from anything larger than a handheld meson blaster will disable it, and radiation levels from other weapons will render it useless in a matter of minutes. Ultimately, outfitting a Hoverboard with a shield makes it an 'ok' fighter...But a laser attached to a rocket would probably be more effective in most circumstances. As for boarding ships...Landing on and boarding a ship which is still active has long been held to be sucidal, especially given that Humans, and even Mechos, have a low tolerance for G-Force(relative to current missile systems and missile defence systems). While a ship or shuttle can evasively take fire until it is out of the Arc of fire, a hoverboard can't and wouldn't be fast enough to avoid the fire initally, especially with radiation output. Also, a Stealth Modual doesn't protect from random weapon blasts or radiation waves...So unless the weapons were also offline there would be 80-90% chance of death...that, or attacking from the dorsal or ventral zones(relative to your own firing arc) where only errant shots would pose any danger...Though with relative speed of the Hoverboard and of Ships it would be fairly difficult getting to either zone.
