Leave it to Apep to be weird. We on at all today? If we do have a session I'm gonna have to multitask between the session (Chi, stay out of trouble today.) and some typing I need to do for the story.

 

Soooooo, anywho, I'm compleatly bored. And also it sounds like no one has figured it out yet. Oh yeah, did I mention I came up with a really interesting twist for the story that'll mess with your minds :shock: ? Muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha :twisted: !

But by making a collar with my implant connected to a small cannister (co2/nitrogen container-sized) of lifesuppirt fluid and the wearer's jugular vains.

The collar could also contain usefull electronics like ID chips, two way radios and locator beacons. For those addicted to the food pills we could induce a slowly decreasing amount of stimulants to their bloodflow to aid the rehabilitation.

 

 

That however requires one thing, the liquid to be sulf-reneurishing or nanite filers to reneurish it.

 

So, Archi, does the fluid ever run out of oxygen and/or nutrients? If so, how many nanites would be required to hold 20 grams of it fresh?

I estimate about 5 grams of them would do more than enough, meaning one kT could supply 200,000,000 small cannisters of them with nanites.

The fluid is free, as is the implants and probably the cannisters.

 

Collar itself would take 2kT each, since different materials have different densities, and different energy requirements to make...Oil, for instance, requires alot more energy to make than a bar of iron of the same weight.

Collar would also be a piece of fiddly engineering, and would required a second canister for waste.

 

Implanting it is also a fiddly procedure, since you are sticking it into their vein, and securing it in some manner so that two large canister (The canisters I am thinking of probably weight 5 kilos)...and people are generally wary of having people who they hate/dislike/distrust/resent conducting surgery on them.

 

Thus costing 401,000 kT.

 

Once implanted the supply would need to be replenished...at best once every 6 hours. Which would cost around .5 kT per year, per person, amounting to 8,355 kT per month.

 

And the replenishment system would cost 20 kT per station, so 1,260, assuming 63 bays worth.

 

Having a nanite army doing it would cost an exorbitant sum, since you have around 3,250 people spread across 63 bays, and you would be looking at 10 kT per 25 people....So 80,200 kT.

 

However, the waste system(Since you have 97% return) would cut the monthly cost to just 251 kT.

Assuming there were no accidents, and assuming the replenishment system. If going with the nanite system then the returns would be around 98%.

 

However, the initial cost is exorbitant, hence why it was considered unfeasible.

Right, it'll be a bit until I can get online for Space, but I think that we may need to try some new bioengineering tricks. Rock eating sheep, anyone?

Also, Lee, I think that the TBS (Thoughtbow staff) would look like a metalic pole with an aiming sight, and a hole on the top.

Also, Ross, I think that making those hatcheries would be a good idea if we want to engtineer a race of harvesters.. But only if i can make a way to mobilize them. Tis a waste if we consume a world and lose all the workers on it..

I was playing in my own play style that did not effect you until YOU ASKED ME TO HELP YOU, after insulting me. Which I then obliged, I then took a break from the game which turned into to long of a break to which point I imagined that the situation was too different for me to catch up on.

 

Jeremiah is looking out for the posperity of the station and general well being. There's a reason he is acting captain.

 

And my situation got outta hand cause people started to notice my problem (which wouldn't have even done anything to the ship if you guys just ignored it) and people were misunderstanding. Yes I guess it was dumb to pick up a weapon, but I have you know I was attacked first!

Rigggghhhhttttt, Ico. Ummm HOPEFULLY you also remembered I had to tell SI that I WASN'T going to sew your mouth shut?! Be thankful I actually fixed you up instead of making you wait. And also, be glad I wasn't told to kill you or killed you anyway with out being told to do so. I got problems with killing those I have a slim chance of saving.

Can you guys stop bickering? While it wasn't the course of action I would have went for, I don't deny that there may be merits in infiltrating the gangs and finding out what is up, just as helping random people on the street may improve our popularity.

 

Earth, I'll need to look into it. AIs thus far have had an annoying habit of turning around and screwing us over.

Now if we can just get that poor little thing bock online again, that fall must really have messed up something, but both the software and components are in perfect* shape.

 

*Certain imperfections are to be expected, one can only fix scrap to a certain degree.

Mather, you didn't base the AI in your bot off of anything. Which [bleep]ed it up. Also, JEremiah, we'd need 5 sessions worth of time so we can make sure they have stable personalities. the TB is to make sure they don't have any SUE'ish errors, after that we jsut need to raise them.

I didn't base the AI on anything, so it is like a small child except it can speak and understand, what it will do in the future is what we teach it to do. It knows the few things it needs, English and its masters.

Nex, Chi made an AI bot for no reason. I upgraded it, and am also going to make sure he can't screw with it anymore. And, I'm TB'ing a research team composed of AIs.

Earth, a research team of AIs has so much potential for Asimov issues, it's not even funny. I don't like the idea, humans are more trustworthy if you screen them carefully.

Mather, you didn't give it enough time, nor did it have a correctly done AI.. It was overly corrupted, and why would you put an AI in a pile of scrap?
