well, as Im closing in on my end of year goal to get cash for ely, Im beginning to realise that sniping a sigil out of ge isnt gona be a bucket of laughs -.-.

 

So, im wondering, what is my best method to be getting ong of these? Try and get an offer in if I happen to be by ge when it updates? try and ls on? or work up via merching to get one with rares?

 

and if i go about the rares method, how should i work up on the rares ladder?

It's very hard to get one w/o having the street price/rare.

 

I recommend getting one of the many sites that host GE updaters to text you when the GE updates.

my clan's irc has runescript which says when the ge updates, main prob is me being at the ge when it does so.

Last I heard, ely was on it's way down, so you might just try sniping a sigil. I think it is around 700m street now, which isn't too far from the 580m ish in the GE.

I have seen multiple pictures of tifers getting the shield from the ge recently after leaving offers in for a few days. I would think with any luck if you left an offer in for the shield for a few days you might have a chance.

 

If you really have patience you could just give it some time because as pere said elys are going down and if you leave it long enough you may be able to get them for ge price (or just above) quite easily, but I have no idea how long that could take.

You could probably get one if you put an offer in soon after it updates.

 

I don't think it has to be immediately anymore, because from my understanding, everytime it updates, the street price goes down, and there will be more people selling a couple days after the update than a couple days before an update. Does that make sense? :razz:

And then the next person to offer for it, and then the next, and the next. Now that Ely street is somewhere around ~700mil (I think) a substantial amount of players are just GE'ing it. Also, after every update, the Ely street drops farther. When the street drops, more people sell in Ge, because it becomes less worth it to sell for street price, as that require them to obtain ~150m junk to sell it, or they would have to take a disk+junk+cash in trade or something. As Ely street falls, doing trades like this for Ely become less and less worth it, and more people will just GE the shield instead.

 

It's not like just one shield will be sold on the GE either. Many of them will be, and if you get somewhat close to the update, you stand a very good chance of getting one.

Try sniping rares on g.e.

My logic may be flawed, as i have no experience sniping something like this. But the way i see it, even if you dont snipe the ely right after the update, leave your offer in unless you really need the cash. The reason being that some lucky people could get it as a ls drop, and then it would go straight to the ge, and if you were one of the first people to put in your offer after the update, you could be the one who gets that sigil. Sorry if this is just common sense :???:

As many others have stated, it has nearly no street value less and more and more are being GE'd every day. Put your offer in for max, and just wait it out, you'll have your elly withing a week lol.

I assumed he meant that seeing as it's November, his year goal is almost over (Dec. 31)

Hmmm I suppose you could read it like that, but anyone who gets an ely/divine drop in two months of corping is pretty lucky :).
