Whats a good set up i heard that range is good as well as melee

 

Need A set up for both nothing to crazy please. I dont have any chaotic weapons so thats out

the best way to deal with this task is to pay your master 30 points to skip it, then use kuradal from now on and never have to deal with them again.

dont bother. or if you must, broad bolts+standard range gear or zs+karils

I did them once and that was all it took. Cancelled from then on, eventually blocking. Avoid imo.

Not sure why all you people hate them I've gotten 5 yes 5 range ammys in 2 tasks...the snape grass drops rune bolts/addy bolts crims and blues add up nicely too...

i camped over 5000 kills there on the first few days of release, and i can assure you that you got lucky with the ranged amulets. they are still HORRIBLE slayer xp (the single worst xp/h of any of kuradal's tasks), and the charms are horrible ("adds up nicely" = "so horrible but they still stack in my bank and add to my current pile").

Are you sure they are the slowest kurdal task? With rapier etc, no cannon, they are around 29-30k xp an hour, likely up to 40k with a cannon, and really, the drops are mostly average(range ammies and good blue charms).

miths might be slower than them, but they are only assigned in small numbers so the quick points make them actually worth doing

well, you can't use a cannon in the slayer cave, and that's the only place they are.

I recall there being a glitch when they first came out that allowed you to set up a cannon.

K, but yeah, i'm pretty sure i've seen a cannon there. In any case, they are a bad task(but likely not the slowest).

How are they fun? They have really high defense, are very far apart and hit for alot of damage(and all of this assuming maxed stats/equipment)? Not a good task by any standard.

And they're especially bad if drops are your thing.

Re: slowest task- nah, I think wyverns are worse, even with a cannon. They're still much much worse than the average task, though; I don't see any reason whatsoever to pay points for the opportunity to get a bad task.

I've never had a problem killing them, I know i was lucky those last 2 tasks, But prior to that luck pot, I average 1 ammy per 2 tasks, and as for them dealing "Damage" Just wear pray gear prot mage with a uni/titan of some sort To use incase you aren't paying attention when it turns your prayer off, and you're right 15-20 Blue charms for 180 ish kills is horrible for a creature that requires only what 78 slayer?? And the regular drops honestly aren't all that bad rune bolts/addy bolts etc...etc...

See, I wouldn't mind trying them out once if Kuradel assigned em.... but I don't want to unlock something just to discover I want it locked again; I can't truly lock it back up. Yeah, I could block it, but then I have to unblock something else on my list... if it was an on/off thing that you paid 50 slayer points every time you toggled it, I'd definitely unlock them. THEN the worse case scenario is I hate them, do one bad task and lose 100 slayer points - but I'd learn from that.

By that logic you can't say anything about any task being good.

 

However, assuming you have a brain, most slayer tasks are actually very similar and you can easily categorize them. 'Nites are a no-cannon no-familiar(combat) melee task(much like kurdal dungeon tasks) only that the monsters have really high defense, turmoil doesn't work on them and they do alot of damage(and praying is not a possibility). I'm very pessimistic about anyone calling hitting 0s fun(and as some CLS fanboys say, hitting high is also fun), nor do i think running back and forth to pick up drops, attack new monsters alot of fun, so even though fun is subjective, in this case, it can easily be quantified.
