rob_h99
Right, so i have about 10 pairs of prayer brawlers which i am yet to use. I would like to know how much exp i would receive using dragon bones on a gilded alter, as from what i know a gilded alter won't be in a hotspot. Also, what would be the best method of exp, ecto or gilded alter?
Sy_Accursed
I thought brawlers didn't stack with other bonus' hence people just go and bury d bones in a hot spot for 400% xp (same as ecto and 50% more than gilded) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
rob_h99
Ah i see, i didn't know that as i've never used brawlers before. Guess i'll just have to go and bury some dragon bones. Also how long do prayer brawlers last?
gremmy
If you do it in your house, you still get 400%, and youre safe from pkers. Edit: and they last 1275 bones. Gilded altaring bones is the generally accepted method of using brawlers- it's risk free and you DO get the bonus. Another method is grinding your bones and collecting slime on a non-pvp world and then ectoing them for a little more per bone. However, that wastes a whole lot of prep time and probably isn't worthwhile. Quyneax
Ok so how much exp do you get from using brawlers & Gilded alter compared to just burying bones in a hotspot?Well, just over 30% more and you don't have to click every bone. Aside from the banking, burying (with a tort) is 46 clicks for 46 bones with no afking. Altaring would be 5 clicks for 42 bones, and you would have to click 4 of those at the start (burner 1, burner 2, r-click altar, click altar-x) and the fifth to withdraw 18 more bones. So yeah, altaring ftw. With 10 brawlers, at 1275 uses per brawler, you can do 12.75k bones. With frost dragon bones (the most efficient) you would get 945 xp per bone or a total of 12048750 xp. That is, less than 100k xp shy of 99 prayer from your current level. Vex
You get 945 Xp per Frost Dragon bone with gilded altar and 2 burners, without brawlers you'd get 630. This is an increase of 1.5x xp. They are most effective using Frost Dragon Bones. @ Current GE price of 15800 for a Frost Dragon bone, this makes this method around 17gp/xp and is extremely fast xp as you can imagine. if you were to bury them in a 400% hotspot, you'd receive 720xp per bone. http://www.[Caution! Which means he doesn't have a gilded altar in his house so it's probably for him to bury some bones. Or use a friend's but then it's not risk free anymore. Or train to 72 construction and boost for a gilded altar, either way works.
Quyneax
I think, personally, that getting 80 con is well worth it. Not only is that fast overall levels, but also useful for dungeoneering, herblore habitat etc., and a good-looking well-furnished house can be a great addition to slayer and bosshunting. 70 constuction for a gilded altar (+2 tea and saw) or even 67 (+5 stew and saw) should be a breeze. green9090
With the money saved using 10 prayer brawlers on a guilded altar, he could buy the requisite cons level multiple times.
