The trouble is, the fullscreen/resizeable mode is a completely different UI to fixed mode. So no there isn't a way. Fixed is a completely separate UI to resizeable & unfortunately there isn't a way to combine the 2. Both have their advantages, both have their disadvantages. Most people prefer the fixed layout when boss hunting, but would probably rather a larger screen area, while keeping the inventory layout to the side. http://www.[Caution! Jagex Rule Violation].com

Personally, I like resizeable simply because it takes up about the whole screen, instead of say....1/8 of it? No offense meant, but I don't see any reason why you wouldn't use resizeable if it's an option, unless your just unwilling to change...
