im sure most people will agree with me that numetal like slipknot, disturbed isnt really metal and therefor doesnt qualify.

The Deftones, Cradle of Filth and Slipknot didn't release any studio albums this year. Deftones released B-sides and rarities, but that was all previously available tracks - thus I don't see how they would qualify as best bands of 2005.

I'd suggest putting into categories... Since there are different metal genres.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of those bands seem to be New metal, also (The only one I recognized as older was Maiden). Eh. I might be wrong, though.

Your interpretation of metal may vary from other's greatly.

From those I'd pick up Iron Maiden, others are more or less bad.

I came here expecting metal bands, or at least a full list of bands that released an album in 2005. :roll:

 

 

 

How were the bands nominated or was it just a list that you made up of bands that you like?
