TheAncient
Is augury's 20% magic 25% defense boost better for magic defense than, for example, rigour (25% defense boost no boost to magic) Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? All_Is_Great
By your description, they both boost 25% defence. But augury also boosts 20% magic. So that should give more mage defence boost.
HexiledRazz
As magic defense is part of your magic level, and the prayers boost your magic level, then by that logic i believe so. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
Smapla
those replies are highly logical, but we're looking for the truth here jagex states that augury boosts magical attack, yet none of the other mage prayers have that specification. So under normal logic i'd assume augury is different, but again, this is jagex, and that kb article might be maintained by seven different employees who don't consult each other, so we can't, not to mention augury was released much later than the other prayers etc. so really, we need some testing of some kind
gremmy
70% of your magic defence is determined by your magic level, 30 of your defence. So probably, yeah. Quyneax
It would make more sense if augury did boost magic defence. However leech magic + leech defence is probably still superior (I sure hope so, I hate using prayers).
