Rise in bone prices?

Featured Replies

^ duel arena is multicombat, so korasi spec sucks there.

Best ko is ddp++? or granite mace lol.

Duel arena is multicombat if you allow familiars, elsewise it's not. Korasi is fine there.

apparently most of you have no idea why dragon bones skyrocketed when wilderness was removed (and GE implemented).

They introduced BH arena and it replaced the most frequented green dragon spot. Bone prices skyrocketed because of the massive removal of availability, not because of any other reason cited in this thread. If they remove the BH arena and replace it with the previous dragon spot then bones will go down, if not then bones will be unaffected.

Stop pretending the removal of the old wilderness, in and of itself, had anything to do with the inflation of bone prices. If you were around for the update you should know the truth, otherwise you have absolutely no authority to post about this issue.

So I hate to start another thread about "what will happen if the old wildy gets implemented into the game", but I don't think I've seen this issue addressed so far.

If the old wildy is reintroduced into the game, than players will be able to kill each other anywhere in the wilderness, and this would include the scores of green dragon botters out there. I am not at all condoning the use of bots, but they do without a doubt introduce massive amounts of dragon bones into the game, keeping prices low (low-ish). But with them gone, a major source of dragon bones will dry up with them. Another possible reason for the price of bones to spike is that pking might become more popular, and although many dime a dozen pures try to avoid training prayer, I've heard many stories of turmoil pures that would require massive amounts of bones before they could pk.

Anyone agree, disagree? What do you think will happen to the price of dragon bones?

Although you say you don't condone bots, you are placing them in what looks like a positive light by saying they kept prices low. That is like you walking into a store and seeing a t-shirt sellin for $20 and saying "Not that i condone slavery but it sure kept cotton prices lower than this". The result of bots is a fake market. I'm always in favor of market corrections . People adjust and life goes on. Higher prices are not evil, lower prices are not evil.

1 dragon spot with about 4-5 dragons was removed, and there were more added in the chaos tunnels. Pretty much no dragons were removed, just moved to a different area.

If I remember correctly...the prices went up with the introduction of family heralds in Construction (not soo much) and when piety was introduced...Blessing graves further increased the prices and turmoil made pray more plausible because then you weren't a prayer noob

Besides, pkin' green dragon hunters is rather profitless....

lolwut, comparing me starting this thread about botting in which I simply give credit to the fact that botters introduce massive amounts of resources into the game to saying that I support slavery? Please leave.

It is a tongue in cheek comment.. Obviously you don't support slavery. The point is that this "issue" that you say you want to address --- just isn't one. An " issue" requires conflict or controversy- which implies that rising prices are evil and that somehow bots negated that. There is no issue. bone prices have fluctuated greatly in the last 7 years as has nearly every resource in the game.

why don't you create a thread for every resource every time it goes up or down in price due to a game update? Maybe we should all do that and make thousands of threads. My point was just that there is no "issue" that needs to be addressed. If anything its a positive market correction.
