Nifflin
Title says it all, also, do you expect them to rise when free trade and the wild comes back? Is it worth waiting for them to return to sell? PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. Dexek
In the old wilderness (which is returning), items that were dropped on death simply switched hands the majority of the time. In the current pvp, upon death, all but one items is lost/all items are lost, dependent on the pvp world. This means that less of these items will be leaving the game, so less demand than currently. There is potential that bosses and new pking accounts could slightly offset this, but basically everyone who needs claws has them, and others who merchant them don't want to be stuck with them when free trade returns. This is generally why most boss/pk items have been nosediving. Dependent on how long until the free trade/pvp update, we will likely hit a point where these items are bought back up for an easy price flip, and then a continual fall. In the current economy it's best to buy items that you need and disregard the price, unless of course you are flipping or manipulating them, then that's your own agenda in terms of selling time. Dragon claws will not likely hit the price they once were, based on an opinion totally disregarding all future updates, because as with always a small update can change the market drastically. Nifflin
There won't a spike if people return for new wild? Sy_Accursed
Return of old wildy will make alot of good items crash. As covered above in current pvp dying in good items = buh bye good items.Meaning theres always high demand low supply of the item. With old pvp coming back the actual items will drop meaning they arent lost they jsut move to a new player.Meaning demand lowers will supply remains the same causing price crash. tigershelby2
Is this why furys and berserkier rings are crashing? i bought them because i expected them o go back up after the panic of the new system wears off, but if they will probably keep crashing, ill just seel them now Barrows: Verac- Helm, Brassard x 2,Torag- Body, HammersKaril- CrossbowGuthan- BodyAhrim- Hood, Staff
Sir_Squab
I've heard some people say they expect weapons/armour to go up when the wilde returns, but the long-term effect is that they will drop. As mentioned earlier, with the current system, items exit the game. With the new system, items change hand most of the time - the more valuable the item, the more it changes hands. Not to mention the current statuette system PUTS items into the game. The overall effect of this will have pretty much every piece of high end gear crash over the long term. Tbh, if a person was quitting now, they're best bet would be to liquidate all their expensive stuff, and buy it back when they return, probably resulting in a profit. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Um, we don't technically know that, no, but I'm pretty sure with the re-introduction of the old wilde, the statuettes will be gone. Or, random thought, Jagex said they weren't removing stuff from the game, but the statues are only worth whatever Mandrith pays for them, right? I'm not sure about alching them, but what if Jagex just changed what they trade in for? Or make them for something different entirely? Frankly, I really really doubt that statuettes that can be traded in for 5m cash for the top one will remain in the game. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. Sy_Accursed
I think mod mark mentioned in a clan chat the other week after looking at statuettes they were probably gonna convert any left directly into their cash value and just remove them, or give them another purpose that doesnt make gp as such. gspbeetle
deflation due to turning off the gp-faucet of pvp-statues Doesnt seem to be affecting mid-low level weapons and amours. I cant say I know whats happening since I've rid of all those million gp weapons and shields after the dragon defender fiasco. Bladewing
i just assumed that jagex would be smart enough to convert the statues into pure gp (like they did with frog tokens -> reward box) [deflation] doesnt seem to be affecting mid-low level weapons and amours. I cant say I know whats happening since I've rid of all those million gp weapons and shields after the dragon defender fiasco.have you seen the markets of barrows and whips? not sure what "mid-low level weapons and armours" refers to - if it refers to rune armor and dragon weapons, obviously their prices won't change because they are at alchemy price floors.
