Our_Moon
1 - You are killing an armoured zombie (850 lp.) Assume you're using a whip on controlled... killing the zombie will give you: (850*0.133) 113.33 attack, strength, defence, and constitution exp. Is this math correct? 2 - Assume i DO NOT HAVE chaotic weapons, and i'm going to go from 96-99 attack, strength, and defence. What is the fastest method? Whip, dragon defender, overloads, and turmoil at armoured zombies?
Synthox
I can only comment on #1, and yes the math is close enough, I got 113.5 using a calculator. You won't get def xp. Our_Moon
Does fighting on "controlled" give defence exp or not? It definitely used to...

Ddude42
While Armoured zombies with your gear and stats would be great xp, it wouldn't be the best. The fastest melee xp in all of Runescape is killing Monkey skeletons in the Ape Atoll dungeon with Dharoks, Salve amulet(e), Turmoil, and Overloads/Extremes. Although expensive because you'll be praying both Deflect Melee and Turmoil and must use prayer potions, it is extremely fast xp. There is a guide about it on the Archive of Wisdom. EDIT: Using Dharoks, you won't be able to train controlled. If you insist on using a whip, you'll be better at Armoured zombies, but if you say get 99 strength, 99 attack, and 99 defence in that order, you'll save time at Monkey skeletons. Is whip/d defender a good method for zombies? (I haven't played in nearly a year, now... i hardly know ^^.) I plan to train them simultaneously, if i can. Also, about the monkey skeletons... they don't drop effigies (140k exp each) or charms, whereas the zombies do. Won't that effectively balance the two methods, not to mention that zombies sound safer... do living rock creatures compare to zombies, at all? I've heard they're not too bad... SirIzenhime
I think the order of xp from worst to best is something like... Living Rock creatures -> Armored Zombies -> Monkey Zombies -> Monkey Skeletons Living rocks and AZs have ok drop tables, and you won't loose money.Monkey Zombies have no drops, but there is an altar near by to use if you do not want to use prayer potsMonkey Skeletons aren't close to any convenient altars, you will need prayer potions, and they have no drops. This is assuming turmoil in max gear with extremes. muggiwhplar
I think monkey skeletons is faster xp w/o dharoks. Much more AFK'able too. Without dharoks you can stay much longer and have to make less lengthy trips to-and-from the bank.
Our_Moon
So whip/dragon defender at the skeleton monkies is the best bet? Do you happen to have exp rates?
Quyneax
I'd go with azs or lrc. All methods have xp rates around 150k/hr assuming maxed/near-maxed setups. I don't think the difference between monkeys and others are worth the loss of effigies.
