Noxx
Well i really have nothing to do with the money i get from Farming/MTK/Slayer, so i kind of want to put it towards another 99. I'd like to get either Smithing or Crafting but i'm not sure as to which one i'd be able to afford. Obviously i'd go with the two obvious methods (Green D'hide Bodies [Crafting] and Addy Platebodies [smithing])Does anyone know the gp/exp for those two skills?IIRC a friend told me Green D'hides are about 7gp/exp. Low C
http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-spreadsheets/ I've been doing gold ore for smithing just because I enjoy being able to browse forums and such. As for crafting, battlestaffs and d'hides are probably your best bet.

Bladewing
blue dhide bodies are cheaper gp/xp than green fyi How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Low C
56 xp per gold ore with gloves. If you just smelt you can get 60k xp/hr roughly, if you superheat while smelting you can nearly double that rate. Best of luck, I'm sure grimy's sheet has a gp/xp figure for you. Th e Doctor
When I was doing gold ore smithing at edgeville furnace I was averaging 50-60 k exp/hr. Dirt cheap though. If you've got cash to burn though addy plates would be more bang for your buck. Otherwise just look at grimy's spreadsheets for the gp/exp ratios Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
Hegelstad
Gold Ore smithing is really relaxing, and smithing seems more useable than crafting as of today :) My lame drops:6 Effigys1 D Med - 1 D Dagger1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody
LinkOlaran
I personally smelted and crafted 83k gold ammies back when I was crafting, plus I was buying as many bstaves as I could to craft into air bstaves and resell. I'm unsure on the gp/xp for each type of bstaff, but I assume air is the best, and highest xp. Once I hit mid 90s crafting, I switched to green dhides, and then black dhide since I was impatient at around 97/98 for the last bit. I'd follow blade's advice and go blues, or just check for yourself which is the best gp/xp atm, though. And yeah, if I recall, superheat/smelting gold ore is about 130k xp/hr, but I'm not sure. Takes a good amount of focus, though. Grimy's spreadsheet for smithing and crafting is what I'd look at for the specific rates for everything - I wouldn't know now, since I got 99 crafting quite a while ago, and I'm still sitting just under 98 smithing (doing addy platebodies atm, no sc hammers because I hate doing sc, lol). ... Just pulled some figures off of the spreadsheets. Gold ore smelting is 71.5k xp/hr, and 2gp/xp. Superheat/smelt is 136.7k xp/hr, and 4gp/xp (surprised it was that cheap, tbh). Addy plates is 255.7k xp/hr, 9.8gp/xp (no sc tools), and with sc tools it's 197k xp/hr, and 5gp/xp (assuming that takes sc games into account). Crafting... air bstaff crafting is 137.5xp per staff, 3.7gp/xp (if you have the staves banked, it's 279.4k xp/hr). Green dhide is 276k xp/hr at 7gp/xp, blue dhide is 311.7k xp/hr at 6.8gp/xp. Not using sc needle, btw. Excuse the mass of numbers >_> hope I helped, lol.
highlanders
Imo 99 smithing is a more useful skill, especially for dungeoneering. Although it's not as great if you can't mine prom ore. Also, buy up your daily max of battlestaves, with free trade coming back they won't stay cheap xp for very long. 2480+ total
Quyneax
Smithing is near-useless in dg (apart from doors of course) as you shouldn't be making armour. Mining is nice for bloodrager familiars. LinkOlaran
It's useful for those of us who enjoy helping others to make prom weapons, yeah :P other than that (assuming you are training in the most efficient manner possible), it doesn't have much use. I, however, don't dungeon efficiently at all >.> I do only solo (mostly), after all.
