kwimbob
right now I can only do complexity up to 3, how do I unlock higher ones?So here's how you start:Take the time to do 6 dungeons alone. Between each dungeon raise your complexity each time and then figure out how to manage dungeon floors. Figure out how long one floor takes. Figure out keys. Figure out some bosses. Get some levels. Then go exploring. Open up all the dungeoneering doors in the RS overworld. Sometimes those will give you exp > than 5 levels and you don't even have to go to Daemonheim to level it again. So the way you get the best exp is to simply do the following: Do medium or large dungeons. Kill every monster. Go into every room. Have a 5-man group. Kill the boss. Don't die (10% exp loss per death). Turn off guide mode. Do a high complexity. Manage your floor reset correctly. Bind the best [melee is easiest, get someone to buy the ore and make you maybe a longsword of the best metal you can weild] weapon and have it so that you can kill guardians and bosses nicely.Try to always keep as many of these criteria satisfied as possible, and your exp rate will be great. Also remember to take it at a decent speed - slow experience is slow experience; don't do a complexity that is too hard for you. The way you do the reset is precisely like this:Do every room you can (consecutively is the easiest way). Once you've done them all, do NOT repeat any of them. Click the reset floors button. Now repeat - do ALL the rooms you can do (should be more after you've gotten experience and checked out the overworld experience opportunities at those doors). R3moteman
I will also dung with you too if you want. For binding i highly recommend going into the dung smith cc, I got a Gorg plate and 2H from them in no time at all.If you find you don't like doing dung with randoms and cant get a team together try soloing. The xp isn't as good by a bit but i find it a lot more enjoyable.Good luck!

But yeah, 2h is better, sorry, I sad longsword at some point. In dungeoneering, all you need is accuracy to pit against the bosses' absurdly high defense ratings so that you can hit some bubbles more interesting than 0. To do that you want the + attack ratings, so the slower the weapon the better. It's also why melee is most popular - a single weapon gives you full attack rating and you can then add in prayer and a potion if truly necessary (whereas magic or ranged require that you have a suit of 5 items and THEN ammo, so melee is most often simplest). While killing all of the monsters will increase your level bonus (ranging from -20% to 10%(?)) It isn't worth the added time, you're better off using that time to do another dungeon. If the team you are with knows what they're doing, they will rage at you for this. You might be able to find people who want to clear everything and if it's your desire then join them, but it will slow you down and most people won't be appreciative. You don't need to worry about the -20% as you will reduce most of this penalty from doing guardian doors and clearing puzzle rooms. Don't use a longsword, use a two hander (promethium) and plate. It's worth investing tokens into customising your ring, even a tier one berserker increases the damage you do while using agressive attack style (slash and crush on a 2hander, both styles it provides) by ~15%, can't remember specifically. All for the low cost of 135 tokens. Once you've unlocked complexity 6, you should do your top 5 or so floors as 5:5 larges (or mediums if you still want to learn how to dg) and rush through the other floors as complexity 1 (c1). This is in order to get them done as quickly as possible as they give little experience but you need to complete them in order to maintain your prestige. I guess I thought you killed all the monsters, but actually you only need to kill all the monsters in front of guardian doors so that you can get through to visit each room for the 20%. And I forgot the ring tip as well, I have mine on attack since I still could only smith a longsword and not a 2h, myself. homer205
Opening all of the rooms (I don't think you actually need to go into them) will get you a maximum of +13% bonus. The -20% I was talking about is if you only killed the boss, this almost never happens as you will get at least one guardian door (the rooms where you need to kill all monsters for the doors to open) in prettymuch every dungeon. la la la
If you find monster defence to be a problem, make a bloodrager and some sundering strike scrolls. They significantly lower defence - very useful on bosses.
Quyneax
Yep - ragers are great fun. Also, in response to the 'kill everything': killing nets you (cooked!) food & xp, whereas fishing also nets you food but not as much xp. E.g. kill for your food. Zaaps1
Worth nothing that if at least 2 people use bloodragers on the boss, you'll hardly need any of that extra attack 2h's provide. At that point, faster weapons such as battleaxes and rapiers become better. However, for general use, I would stick to the 2h unless you have access to the battleaxe of the higher tier. This, of course, does not apply to the Necrolord boss, when you get up to him, since he just be ranged or maged. ~It's Super Effective!
