Nifflin
So how exactly does the degrading work? If I wanted to use it as a spec weapon in staking would it only degrade for the time during stakes? Then could it last for thunderer of stakes right? That being said would it be a viable counter to all these SoL noobs? Also what is the best range DPS weapon for unarmored range stakes? PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. All_Is_Great
Why do people use sols in stakes, they have to keep it equipped for the spec to work. Unless they just melee with a sol... which is dumb IMO.
Blake
I've been beaten almost every time against a sol. I use a rapier after dds spec, and they use a sol and win every time, just meleeing with the sol.

You'd need something atleast twice as good as sol to beat it so... If KS works for full damage, that might work. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Nifflin
Every time you equip and use it it takes one charge which is one minute. So then I could counter 60 SoL's for the price of 20m... I wonder if it's worth the cost. Does anyone know? PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. Edit: my second question was more like is Vestas significantly better then SoL? Or is it even better at all? xSxqPowerx
I'm skeptical that it would be able to consistently beat a sol. Why not just get your own sol?
Cyon
Personally I think if you see a person using sol against you, you should save your dds spec until the minute is up and just beat them with rapier/whip until then. And I believe either Handcannon or Rune Knives are the best dps for ranged.
Nifflin
I'm skeptical that it would be able to consistently beat a sol. Why not just get your own sol? It would be worth it to shock those SoL uses with one, and all the SoL users slow down the pace of staking. You might as well box if you're going to SoL stake. Quyneax
If you are going to do one-handed weapon staking w/ special and ranged enabled, I'd use morrigan's javelin versus sol specs. I'm fairly sure a single javelin spec beats a half-damage vls spec.
