Troll Bomber
I currently have 51 effigies banked from slaying, and I'm torn between a few options: 1) Use all 51 on summoning right now (currently 90 summ w/ 91 banked) 2) Keep saving till 99 slayer, then all on prayer (currently lvl 75, I would lvl that up before using effigies. 3.8M slay xp to go so ~85 final effigies would be nice) 3) Use all charms from 99 slayer for summoning, and dragonkin 99, then use the rest on prayer. I don't flip, merchant, or anything of that sort because I can't really be bothered to try and learn how to do it properly, so I'm sort of "poor player" with only about 20-30M net worth at any given time. I'd rather use my dragonkins on a skill that is going to save me money rather than time. Any feedback on the option you would choose, or even an option you think of that I haven't, would be greatly appreciated! P.S. Skillwise, I'm pretty poor in terms of opening my own effigies, but would it be worth it in your opinion to get the req lvls to open ~85 effigies of my own? How long do you think it would take to completely use assists to open 85? What are the assists you have to pay for now because of ft?
Quyneax
Yes get the levels to open them up, and I'd calculate the xp for them at 92-93-94 prayer and see how close to 95 you should start doing effigies. Gilformen
the people that demand payment for certain assists are noobs. try assistclan cc, sometimes it takes a bit, but theres usually plenty of people offering/asking in there anyone that wants payment gets kicked 32,606th to 99 magic || 15,388th to 99 dungeoneering || 12,647th to 99 farming14,792nd to 99 range || 24,954th to 99 herblore
Autist
This is a good thread, nicely compiled questions. Sure, get skills like cooking, fletching and some other easier ones to high enough level to stew to open effigies. Gilformen, asking money for 97 cooking is noobish, but I can't see anything wrong with asking some money for 97 craft/smith/rc/cs assist. It can be a pain to find those assists for free sometimes. OP, I'd use them for 95 prayer, as you said you value money more than time. Nerdbomber, you said your bank is 20-30m at any given time. I think we are the same type of players, I am also poor. :P Is slayer the only way you make money? If you haven't already, may I suggest looking into farming herbs? Good money for minimum effort. 3-5 herbs runs a day for a couple of weeks and you will have doubled your bank. :P

Troll Bomber
Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to try and knock out summ first after 99 slayer (charms then effigies), then the rest on prayer. @Autist, I actually do herb runs quite often. I was doing 2 toads/2 ranarr for weeks on end (for herb xp, personal ppots), and it does make really good money. Now that I have 88 herb, which is all I really need atm, I'm not sure what the biggest herb moneymaker is for farming (76 farm). I'm assuming lanta but I'm not sure. Also, I'm going to be getting 85 dung today for frosts. With those unlocked, do you think it would be faster to train slow skills to open effigies and knock slow xp out of the way, or would it be faster to quickly raise buyables, unlock effigies with the buyable option, and grind slow skills later? Th e Doctor
Best herb for you to farm is snaps with scroll of like and juju potions. Avg profit is over 250 k per run, more if you have a scroll of cleansing and turn them into unf pots. Edit, i would opt for quickly raising the buyables. Troll Bomber
I have the scroll of cleansing (was amazed at the gp/hr from simply making unfs), and have the tokens to purchase scroll of life. I always imagined getting bad seeds like marentill or something from dead herbs so I didn't bother to buy it. I've wanted to do juju pots, but herblore habitat is 70+ hunter if I'm correct? I'm 67 hunter atm, but cant really stand hunting red chins any longer (if my ideal method is outdated, please let me know lol, haven't hunted in forever). Plus, how long do juju pots take to actually make (in terms of aquiring everything, ect)? I've heard that the extra time involved cancels out the bonus you may receive in the first place, but I'm not certain.
Th e Doctor
There's a great guide here http://forum.tip.it/topic/281681-herblore-habitat/ Red chins was never the best place to level until 80 and its not the best place to level ever anymore. Red sallys are better, penguins are better, falconry with a bonecrusher is better. Secondly if you have ooglag unlocked you can use the hunter spa for a huge boost to hunt jadinkos. The time is at least an hour for a good number of them, but you're also getting some of the best hunter exp in game while doing it and other useful seeds/farming exp so its definitely worth doing. And not getting a scroll of life because of bad seeds back from dead patches is silly. You always get the seed you planted if you get one back from a live patch (harvesting a live patch of snaps will give you a snap seed if you get one back) and you have just as high a chance of getting a torstol seed back as a marrentill seed from a dead patch. Troll Bomber
I will definately look into that, seeing as I do at very least 4-5 herb runs a day, i dont doubt the profits will stack up. Just need to do the quest for the 5th plot too. Always happens this way... I'm too lazy to do these things to save/make money, then later on I finally do it, and I hate myself for not doing it waaay earlier :wall:
Th e Doctor
No worries, but for sure go do the quest for the fifth patch.
