Extreme Potions

JPMC Mate

Recommended Posts

I am really wanting Extreme Potions to start off the long path to all the essential items/stats (like Turm, Ovls, etc). My bank total worth is 42m.

Here is a picture:

Is my bank enough for 85 to boost to 89 for EXtreme Atk and Str Potions? If so, should I sell my bank to buy it and what items should I keep? What potion should I make?

Thanks.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

Don't sell your bank for something you can't even utilize efficiently without your bank.

Personally, I'm against killing my bank for something that I'd have no relative use for. Aka: spending 40m when you have 42m to get extremes, but no equipment to fight.

I'd spend a little time making some more cash if I were you... Even herblore related stuff. Collecting Mort Myre Fungus or White Berries is a solid 1m+/h. Takes the cost down considerably.

So I shouldn't sell my bank? But Bladewing said I should cuz I could make the $ back. Also, did you read ALL of the questions I had?

LOL. :wall:

Please don't spam my thread. I really want this answered.

And why shouldn't I sell my bank if I can afford it and will be able to make the $ back?

I've seen this far too many times. Some kid thinking he's hot [cabbage], thinking he can sell his worthless bank for a couple gp to spend on some fabled noob item or the other. The he goes in panic mode, sells supplies and loses money, feeding the merchers.

Go for it, you better know what you're doing though, because I wouldn't.

Your supposed to use extremes to make your money back by MH'ing for the money with extremes. But your screwing yourself over if you have no gear for the MH'ing. Figure out what you need to MH with first, then check what you'd get if you sold your bank minus the MH gear.

How about you not reply to any of my topics, mk? Because all you do is insult me when you know [cabbage] about me... I would never follow your advice. I don't care if you are maxed. It means crap to me.

On to the topic, am I wrong to want Extremes?? If selling my bank will get me there, why shouldn't I? It's not hard to make $ in RS.

i have no idea what the cost is on herblore xp during bxp (since i'm already 99 i don't bother paying attention to prices), but off-bxp herblore xp is somewhere around 20 gp/xp, so i doubt you can get 88 herb

be sure to keep like 5m for gear when you do get extremes.

Because extremes using a dragon long is not better than supers with a whip? And if it's not hard to make $ then why not make it then buy herblore supps? instead of doing an idiotic thing and sell your bank so all you have left is extremes

I do agree on

It's not hard to make $ in RS.
a little. if you have already a main money making way, then stick with that. I would say just sell 500 sharks, 3000 cannonballs and, if you want, beserker ring, since, if you're using slayer than you can just use a ring of life since you levels are fairly okay. Though, you can sell the beserker ring later when you have higher attack/strength, I mean, whats the hurry? If you ARE in a rush then just sell some of the things (like 500 sharks, 50 defence pots, dwarf multi cannon (optional), 200 broad arrows (not sure if they're sellable), amulet of fury (optional), verac's plateskirt (optional, you can just use rune platelegs or for aberant spectres, prosylete), and obsidian cape(for fire cape)) and get the rest of the money by making it. To get a fire cape, for inventory get 6 - 8 brews, 18 restores, 3 - 1ranged pot, full guthans, and 200 - 1000 diamond bolts (e) or crystal bow. And for what your wearing, wear crystal bow or rune c'bow, black d'hide body or karils leathertop, black d'hide chaps or veracs skirt (if you didn't sell it), fury or glory, ava's accumilator or god cloak, veracs helm, archers ring or ring of regeneration, snakeskin boots or ranger boots, gloves (barrows), 3000 broad arrows or none (if using crystal bow).

Good Luck, best of it.

You're hot and flaming. In other words, you're a fire type! You're polite and like people, but it's still a bad idea to mess with you. If someone picks on you, you use flamethrower. Gee, isn't that convinient?

When you include a dragon dagger, neiznot, snakskin boots, and a rune crossbow in your best of bank... and ONE obsidian golum... your bank isn't that good.

My advice, no. Don't sell your bank to get extremes. I have 40m, bandos, fury, onyx i, and I wouldn't sell those for extremes.

Instead I bought 2k snapdragon seeds and have been making super restores. I have enough of pent up supplies worth around 1m in herb xp without a 2.7x multiplier.

Don't sell your bank. Would be a stupid idea.

For skills, it makes perfect sense to sell your bank.

This is because while you train the said skill, you can easily be making your money back via dailies/herbs/merchanting. By the time you achieve your skill level, you'd already have a decent size cashpile. For 85-89 herblore, you could probably have enough money to put extremes to decent, just not optimal, use.

Where would you make your money back with extremes?

If I am interpreting your post correctly:

You don't necessarily make money with extremes, you make more money with them. That is to say, you can successfully pull off any method that uses extreme potions without using them (with a few exceptions where the boost or overloads are required to be effective). However, by using extremes, you will be more efficient, and this added efficiency is where you make your money back.

For example, say if using extremes gave you on average 500k more profit/hour at tormented demons. In 90 hours of Tormented Demons, you would have made back your money with extremes. (That number, of course, was completely fabricated on the spot.)

I guess I didn't think it over too much. I guess I'll be keeping my items.

Personally, I am against this decision if you can afford those levels with your current cashpile.

If you plan to do this over BXP, then there should be no real argument here: buy those herblore levels, even if you cannot afford them, even if you cannot put them to use after the weekend. I believe over 10 hours, your average multiplier is 2.1x. That means that if you got the levels after BXP, you'd pay 2.1x more for those few levels than you would now.

If you sold your entire bank now just to buy 1 level, here's how I would analyze it:

"If I am going to want to buy [insert herblore level here] some day eventually, that means I'm going to have to spend 80m. But if I do it right here, right now, I'll spend less than 40m. That's 40m that I will save, and there's no way that can be not worth it."

Essentially, if you plan to train herblore over BXP, it's a winning situation. There's no way you can lose, and either way, you "double" your cashpile.

If you DON'T get it during BXP, it's still worth it, but only if your current cashpile is enough to buy the level in one go.

Think about it like this, if you stay consistent with your dailies and always have enough money to do them (about 1m in your bank at any given time) and do consistent herb runs, you will most likely make a few million during the time you are training herblore. For example, if it takes you one week to get the level and you do herb runs at a reasonable rate and do dailies every day, you will profit upwards of 10M by the time you get the level. That 10m profit is easily enough to let you make instant use of your extreme potions.

EDIT: Oh, it seems you've changed your decision. Will keep this here for reference, then.

No, I was just gonna post in it, but I decided not to. So, what you're saying is, if I can afford Extreme Potions, I should get them even if it means selling bank (which, in my case, is the only way I MIGHT be able to afford it)? I do plan on getting the levels on bxp weekend IF I can afford to go all the way (or atleast to 85 to stew to 88).

To sum my point up in a nutshell.

If you can afford it with your current bank, you should buy it, but first ensure you will have enough money to maintain consistent dailies/herb runs during this time.

If you will be training during BXP, buy it regardless of other factors, including whether or not you will have the final level, because in the end you will only save money.

An aside:

On the first point, if you just buy the supplies in chunks instead of all at once, it should be easy to maintain 1-2M for herb runs/dailies. Of course, do not do this if you will train during BXP.
