Doubling Money.. and Other Weird phenomena..

Featured Replies

Doubling money is a trust trade, which is against the rules. I report it every time I see it, and so should everyone.

Trust trades aren't reportable. I've asked a very strict pmod in my CC about this and he said there's nothing you can do apart from ignoring it.

They are bannable. Your mod friends needs to be de-modded if he doesn't know basic rules.

Actually, no. That's not the case, at all. They aren't actually bannable I'm afraid. You can report it, yes. And that player can be muted, but they won't be banned. It's your choice to trust a stranger with your money. We have moved on from the times of 2007 and before, where there luring was bannable. Now that too is a case of -- we've given you the warnings, it's your choice with how you act.

if you have unlimited money

which you don't

so you will still long term lose money when you finally get cleaned

Depends how high you bet surel. My crapp[y little maths bit about doubling losses, losing 7 times in a row you only need 97.2m if you lose 6 times in a row, which if it's only you betting is pretty insanely unlikely.

Surely if you always start at a few hundred ks and go back to that everytime you get cleaned it's pretty insanely impossible to not win at some point. IF you had 1b for example you could lose 9/10 times (I think) in a row. Which is insanely bad luck!

Yes, but when you get that insanely bad luck, you lose a bil that you were risking for 100k. That's a LOT of money to put on the line even if your chances of losing are in the decimals of a percent territory. Especially because 100k is NOTHING to someone with a 1b bank, so I don't see anyone with that much money bothering in the first place unless they're starting at at least 500k. Otherwise you're probably risking your bank for worse cash/hour than frost dragons.

I personally would also stop taking bets at around the 50-80m mark simply due to not having the liquid assets to cover many bets of that magnitude, so after a certain number of bad rolls you have to go find another dicer with a bigger cashpile and let me keep however many tens of millions you forked over.

If you double your overloss then you risk a bil for a bil. If you do that then the end bet is complete profit!

yeah no to be fair I doubt there are that many peoplewho can accomadate 1b bets :P

there is that avq guy or whatever his name is?

But yeah if you double overall loss then your not risking for 100k, your risking for your winning bet.

Doubling overall loss would get ridiculous really fast.

100k

200k (300k overall)

600k (900k overall)

1.8m (2.7m overall)

5.4m (8.1m overall)

16.2m (24.3m overall)

48.6m (72.9m overall)

145.8m (218.7m overall)

437.4m (656.1m overall)

1312.2m (1968.3m overall)

That's as far as max cash would get you. 10 losses in a row loses you 1968.3m. 8 losses in a row cleans you if you have under 656.1m cashpile, 7 for under 218.7m. Bad odds IMO (well, not really an opinion- they ARE bad odds). You'll get away with it for a while, but your high chance of winning comes at the cost of someday losing an insane amount of money, much more than you're likely to ever win before that happens.

haa that is pretty true. i don't know what i do if someone was betting like that.

well either way, id rather be a host then a player anyday

I just ask them to put up double what I offer so they have doubled my money. When they say they need to put it in a machine or do something with it first I report them for bug abuse.

One of the best rs conversations I've ever read, this just shows the typical mindset of a scammer. They have absolutely no idea how anything works, they're just parasites that mimic what the other parasites do; it's absolutely pathetic.

clansig7.gif

I usually give them 30-50k, they double it, and then I leave.

That's exactly what I do.

I've found that it often helps to feign extreme naivety so as to make the scammer believe you'll hand over more once he proves himself. Technically scamming a scammer. tongue.gif

Technically having your money doubled....

My lame drops:
