if there isn't too much activity in clan forum, then maybe look to combine some of the inactive forums into clan discussion

for example - all the people posting fights could just post it in this forum along with all the other random discussions

once you guys feel activity has improved in clan discussion with other topics then split into 2 forums again

when scapeboards were at it's prime back in 2002-2004 i think almost all war declarations and results were talked about on the main forum with all the other bs clan topics like #1 leader and all that generally used for spammers who need to raise post count :P

It might push more activity to the conclave while presenting a 'healthier looking' public forum. There really isn't much to talk about these days since Tip.it lies mostly outside of the clan drama [cabbage] of the top 20, let alone the top 10.

 

I don't know. I see that the suggestion has merit, especially since there's a suggestion in the works to make the Wars and Run-ins forum RSS feed accessable, but I personally don't like the idea.

what discussion beyond fighting between clans is going on tipit anyways? it's just common sense that if activity is down then consolidate - if activity is up then separate and organize

maybe not then the war forum but look into the others

This is pretty much what comes to mind. Sure we've lost a fair bit of activity in the past few months but if we were to regain (which we hopefullly will!) that activity then we'd have to reverse the change. Thanks for your idea though. :)

No one discusses the war topics really. Just post 'good fight' and such. If we remove features it will only discourage activity in the future, not gain any.

That will just make it a pain in the ass to find the topics I want to read...

That wouldn't do anything to help clan discussion.

Doubt people will read the clan topics if they don't already read the CD. If anything, it will probably make it less active as the clan topics will get bumped by more active, popular topics.
