Also, Torva is pretty expensive to repair i reckon.

Maybe a bit more melee defense goes further in terms of camping for longer. And rapier cost would take a small chunk out of the profits + his cannon will be doing most of the damage so in using Korasi's sword he saves the need to repair and saves invt space for a spec wep.

 

I could be utterly wrong... Just seems to be the best explanation I can come up with for him. :P

I'd use a Verac's skirt, the repairing price is worth it.

Thanks for the support everyone :-D and yes most of the time I kill them TOO fast, so much so that I have to take turmoil off sometimes just so my pack yak can keep up, so chaotic rapier (as much as I want it) will actually be doing me a disservice due to the speed I get bones anyway. I hope to be going for more bones today :-)

THIS. Bringing a handful of summoning potions and using them to bank faster is crucial for good frost dragon killing- NEVER slow your kills down on purpose. Also, ditch the DFS and use a defender and bring a rapier. When you can afford it, shell out for berserker ring and Bandos tassets as well- you can sell them back when you can get a Torva plate, and the str bonus will save a ton of time over that number of frost kills.

 

There are all kinds of other little problems with your setup (notably, you should be bringing a LOT more prayer potion and general supplies so your trips last longer), xpx's guide would do you a world of good.

Thanks for the feedback - chaotic rapier I can't do though. I just hate dungeoneering with a passion. I can buy the rest of what you suggested though. Also do summoning potions actually restore the familiar's special move points? I thought I tried it out before and it didn't do anything but restore my summoning levels o_O if that's the case I'll definitely get some of those and some better gear, though like I say I can't do chaotic weapons.

You're 85 dungeoneering and don't have a chaotic rapier or longsword? What did you use your tokens on? O_o

 

And yeah, summoning potions give you enough summoning points to do 1.5 yak scrolls. Generally 4 summoning potions last me about an hour of killing as fast as I can, if memory serves. I haven't been there in a while.

Ok thanks, and I got 90 dung with dragonkin lamps mainly so not enough tokens for chaotic weapons anyway

Whoa, that's... quite unique. I'm not sure I've ever met anyone else who got to frost dragons without a chaotic.

ive done around 7k frosts atm and i use

 

verac skirt + bras (for def for melee and prayer bonus)

d defender

neits

rapier

fury

fire cape

d boots

 

yak (fill with shark)

 

canon (6 c balls per kill i average)

 

5 p pots

 

6 doses of extr attk + stre

 

10 doses of anti fire (normal or super doesnt matter due to mage prayer)

 

i get around 150+ kills with 1 yak

 

also use RoW and charge it use that to teleport to ge and bank at v west

 

and use rimmington teleport tablet to get to frosts drags (on the way is altar and obelisk if needed)

 

i think thats all if i missed anything then sorry haha

 

but yeah id say use that set up insted

 

i dont take extra sum pots i dont need if i do get it so i cant send some bones to bank but they can live in my inv for a bit or until im done

Sold DFS and added summon pots to my inventory. Managed 139 bones last trip :-D also found 54 noted torstol on the ground. It wasn't my drop as I would have picked up the bones, and I couldn't find anyone around who was cannon'ing, so I gladly took them and added it to my profit. Whoever left them didn't come back so... :-/ also, update: 520 frost dragon bones now.
