Handcannon failure rate and f2p fm

Featured Replies

What is the equasion fopr handcannon failures with or without the special attack use at what fm lvl?

What is the chance that the cannon would explode at 74 fm with/without special? 90? 99?

And where is the best place to train fm in f2p? Call me old school but I am still using edge to do it :\

I don't think anyone has come up with a formula for it.

However it is pretty much universally agreed that anything under 99 fm it fails too much to be worth it.

I would almost suggest a lava titan for the +10 firemaking boost, but then you can't bank ashes/bones or heal or w/e you'd normally do, so yeah, get 99 firemaking :P. Even at 99 the cannon costs more gp + inventory space than kxbow, the second best.

Varrock tele > firemake to bank > bank > tele etc.

Backwards at GE is better still, but idk how to :P.

I firemaked at the Grand Exchange. There are spots you can do whole lines in without redoing, you just have to find them.

The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.

[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hard

All DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>

>OP asks "why use DFS?"

>everyone says "there is no reason"

>someone says "stop bashing people who use DFS, efficiency troll ass clown"

>thread is now a flame fest

FoG, Duel arena?

Personally found my PoH was the ideal place to FM. Can force randoms there, also using the butler to unote logs (Even though its obviously p2p only)

Still see alot of FM training going on in draynor, but I think the varrock tele method is probably the quickest.

I've never heard of POH firemaking.

Anyway, backwards FMing at the GE is definitely the best way to do it. Try and make designs and pictures lossless for extra fun. ;)

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

OT answering Obtaruian. in your house you do have a fireplace that you can put logs in to burn. not sure what the highest lvl log you can use in it is. but to answer the question I would say at the GE chop all the the logs you want to burn and bank them them then head to the GE and get them out and burn, then repeat.

hounddog1983m.png

Backwards fm'ing was mentioned a few times in this thread, and in case you don't know how to do it, here's a quick run-through.

Typically when you fm, after you light a fire, you move west. However, immediately after you light a fire, it is possible to run up to 4 squares away and immediately light a fire while your tinderbox is still "hot" (ie. you don't have to do that long firemaking animation, you light the fire instantly like you would if you did normal fming). If you use this to click 1 square east of the fire you just made, and keep repeating this process, you can fm going east.

This is especially effective at the GE, because you can light 13 fires going west, 1 fire north of the last east fire, then 12 fires going east and end up back at the bank. There are 4 lines where this is possible on either banking side.

Plus, if you get bored, you can use this method to fm shapes like hearts or letters. Also entertaining to do.

EDIT: A thought, what if you fm'd at your PoH and used your butler to unnote your logs? It's probably faster than banking since the process is more streamlined, plus you don't have to worry about being bothered and can potentially make money by renting out a gilded altar.

the best place to fm is back lighting at the ge.

Second best place is the fog lobby if (unless there's no banker there now with the new Gamers Grotto stuff, but I think there still is)

Speaking of the Gamer's Grotto, the bank chest there is also very good.
