Peter9930
So, I'm currently fishing rocktails and I want to get to 99 fishing fast should I stick with rocktails or something else?
AntAnkh
Rocktails are good for profit. Barbarian fishing or powerfishing in shilo would be better exp options.
Miller7204
I personally did rocktails and made quite a lot of profit from them so if your looking for profit I would say fish them. If you just looking for the best xp I would fly fish in shilo or barbarian fish. Hope that helps! MY CAPES! Lose No Hope
Currently the best exp in the game is fishing in c2 dungeons. Might as well go for the best exp now and use the time saved to make money later. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I have not tried it since reading the post. Runescape: Winter 2002/2003 - May 2011

I haven't tested the exp/h there, but I'd bet that Barb heavy rod fishing is faster. OP: You're probably better off grinding at Baxtorian falls then earning money with your newest 99 as compared to settling for slower exp rates just to earn some money. Quyneax
C2 fishing is still faster but not as much. If you can catch rocktails, you can catch cave morays, which should put the xp/hr at 120k or so (versus maybe 60k with rocktail and 90k with barbarian).
