Learn to key by practicing it yourself.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

It sounds like Dging keyers are mostly these crazy efficiency people who only care about what is the most exp/hour and forget that the game is all about fun, not efficiency and I dont want to get kicked by some stupid kid for an innocent mistake like killing monsters in a non Guardian door or going into a dead end.
No matter what RS activity I do, I am NEVER paying 100% attention, at most, I am paying 75% attention, so I might kill every monster I see guardian door or not and I might go in ever door that I havent been in, and to get kicked for that is [developmentally delayed]ed.

You have a horrible attitude and should give up on team dungeoneering so that you don't drag other players down with you.

I have been patiently waiting 2 days for a team. I am willing to learn, but I am not going to be yelled at for trying and messing up because I am new to this skill. I have heard some keyers have no patience and will kick you for innocent mistakes, like going in a dead end door or killing monsters in a non guardian door, which I may very well do by accident.

People are going to tell you how to do things right, if you can't handle a keyer getting a bit mad at you for not paying attention (i.e paying 75% attention to runescape like you said yourself), you should learn to key yourself.

No keyer (dgs keyer, not 148/117) will ever kick you from a dungeon for making an innocent mistake (i.e using the wrong style, forgetting to regate) as long as you learn from your mistakes.

, like going in a dead end door or killing monsters in a non guardian door, which I may very well do by accident.

If you know these things are the wrong things to do, why are you still doing them? It takes literally about 2 seconds to check the map and see if you're in a dead end, or even less to check if the door is a gd. You don't seem to be able to learn from your mistakes which is a big part of dungeoneering.

All in all, change your attitude and people will dg with you. Otherwise, use 117/148.

There are guides on practicing keying. Just look for one. I know there is one on this forums.

I am willing to learn, but I may do something wrong by accident, just a fact of being new. I dont mind someone trying to help me, that is the point of dgs, but not being yelled at or kicked.

Ranked keyers in dgs are not allowed to kick anyone from a dungeon without consulting an admin first. Being yelled at is something you have to deal with. Some keyers can get annoyed at people for making mistakes, but they will always offer advice even if they "yell" at you while they do it.

I'll be doing some c1s later so you can join me and ask any questions while we c1. I'll be in the dgs chat.

Really, you're communicating using a text format that doesn't allow caps lock. Yelling is difficult. And you can always turn on the censor IF they swear at you >_>

Oh, and 99 is generally the world to be on for DGS.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

thanks i was on W99 for an hour and couldnt get on a team. I am trying W117 now, I will see if it is as bad as I have heard....

An hour isn't a long time to wait, especially because there are so many different floors going on at once.

As a general rule, if you barely meet the requirements - don't expect it to come fast.

This is true of DGS (don't think people just do F30's all day) or anything else in RS.

You don't go catch red chins the very moment you can because it won't be effective (just as an example)

You can always keep soloing from 1-31/32 C6 while waiting for a floor.

Just start on the lower floors, and try to minimize your time - and keep working on getting faster at puzzles/bosses.

I just finished a W117 large, it took 1 hour 21 minutes, and I got 29K exp. I was by far the highest level person by at least 200 levels. 1 person quit and we only had 4 people. It was really brutal.... I have to go help my wife now, something is wrong with the laundry machine. This is why I said I cant always pay attention, something always comes up at home.

Have to run to walmart to get something to fix the washing machine. Thanks for the offer Cheezey, maybe later or tomorrow.

Perhaps dungeoneering is not suited to you then.

even with better teams, a floor should take about 30 mins.

You need to be able to sit down for periods that long without distraction.

I'm sorry, OP, but this is something you have to understand.

Good teams and DGS teams AREN'T going to flame you, yell at you, or kick you because you made an innocent mistake. In fact, many people will go out of their way to try to help you and improve the quality of your dungeoneering.

But if you cannot offer a dungeon your full attention, you cannot expect to achieve your full potential. No matter how willing you are to learn, you must be equally devoted.

I realize that I might sound like I'm antagonizing you for not being able to focus. I don't mean to and I understand that RL stuff comes up and certainly does take priority. I'm not blaming you or accusing you of anything. But it doesn't change the point being made. You need to offer dungeons you 100% attention, or you can't expect to achieve your full potential. Skills and the willingness to learn are only part of the equation here.

That being said, please DO stop by DGS and join an abandoned floor. It's not hopeless and we still can help you greatly improve your floors. Just understand that after a while, it's going to be your attention that limits you, not your team or your skills.

You might want to go on w117 or 148 for a bit and learn the ropes. I wouldn't recommend doing floors lower than ~35 as larges on those worlds though, with a bad team it could take up to 2 hours. Floors above 40 take somewhere between 40 mins and an hour, so that's a little better. Well except thunderous floors, that can be disastrous with a team of randoms. Either way, go get some experience.

It's just like sports. The coaches may yell at you, but only to teach you something or make you work. (may be a bad metaphor, 1:30am and I'm finishing an essay.)

99 Strength 99 Fletching 99 Range 99 Hitpoints 99 Attack

99 Dungeoneering <3 99 Magic 99 Smithing 99 Herblore

99 Theving

Slayer Drops: 14 whips, 22 D boots, 27 Granite Mauls, 42 Effigies, 5 Dark Bows.

What would be cool is if Drakan and his minions kill all the sig heroes in the quest except Raptor who is wrecking. You and him team up and cave in some vampyre heads. He becomes a total bro in future quests and in a GM quest he receives a fatal injury and his last dying words to you are "Brofist, mang"

You could spam the board with inappropriate content till you get banned, then it'll stop distracting you >_>

Or unplug the internet. I recommend the second option.

Ontopic: I really don't think 117 or 148 is good to learn the ropes at DG. I did just enough Dungeons on 117 to realize that randoms were generally a horrible idea. DGS when you can imo.
