Goldenjkered
Just wondering if it's worth shelling out 8 mil for a Bandos Godsword to use at barrows instead of Whip + Defender. Also, is veracs still viable these days? Guy
Whip is definately much better for attacking the brothers (much faster attack, so higher DPS I think). I assume you're maging the 4 melee brothers and meleeing the other two? You could always swap the BGS out for the dds, but if you have a bad spec with bgs thats a waste. I would just say whip+defender+dds. RIP TET "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Goldenjkered
Nah, meleeing them all. Whips: 3 Dragon Boots: 15 My 99's: Attack & Cooking Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Goldenjkered

barbwireboy3
Why would you melee them all? With high melees and a lower mage, meleeing all can be more effective. OT: Whip, the speed advantage over the godsword is better than the small advantage of slightly higher hits.

Goldenjkered
The reason why I melee them all, is because it's cheaper (saves runes), and it means my inventory is more spacious for more supplies. At your levels, it'd actually be cheaper to use ice spells and a black salamander. It's not how much money you save on supplies - it's how fast you can do chests in one trip. At your stats, melee will be slow and tedious. You should only melee with full void, chaotic rapier, overloads, and turmoil. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Goldenjkered
I've probably done 500+ chests with just melee, so I know what it's like. Melee is just less work, and I'm lazy to be honest. Melee is just less work, and I'm lazy to be honest.Which is the only proper reason to melee barrows, after all, as it's slower than magic 99% of the time. Use a whip. Goldenjkered
I've never used a Godsword only whip, so I was wondering how well they do at barrows. Kimberly
Whip will do more damage for you and spending 8 mil for an activity that doesn't pay very much isn't ideal tbh.
