Some slayer questions

Unhesitating

Recommended Posts

If I try to be as efficient as possible all of the time, I will get bored and quit slayer. Therefore, I ask yall these questions:

1. Magic- any good things besides ice strykes to mage?

2. Dharoks- any good tasks to use this on?

3. Is korasi's+ddef = zspear? or is zs still the way to go?

Thanks in advance :D

yep, ksword+ddef is equal accuracy and 1 more strength.

dh is good on fire giants in the smokey dungeon I think, as it constantly keeps your HP at min, as well as WFs (I'm not sure if it beats cm, I found it comparable to void+ss)

mage is good on abby demons, metal dragons, and blue dragons, but its less DPS then melee on anything but ice strykes.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Assuming RS wiki is correct, because that's the first thing that popped up on google, korasi + d def has same accuracy and higher str then Z Spear. Z spear alone has higher att/str, but I can't think of any good reason why you'd compare Korasis without D Def to Z Spear with. Unless you need a shield for something, in which case Korasi's trumps because ZS is a 2h weapon. So. (Btw I'm comparing stab accuracy just so you know.)

As for magic, steels/irons are decent to mage, but it's usually cheaper to melee most tasks. Unless you feel like Ice Barraging in Kuradels dungeon just to see how high you can make mage go >_> (which I've done.) I can't see Dharoks being good for any tasks, especially since dharoks doesn't work with a full slayer helm.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Zspear is also useful as a crush weapon if you ever need that.

So yes, zspear is > korasi + ddef for stabbing but it has no crush option.

And for magic - pretty much anywhere (other then iceworms - you'll see a decrease in dps)

You could however, do the ice strykeworms and lower leveled tasks since they're pretty fast regardless of what you do them off.

Don't do metal dragons with magic, much too slow and it's annoying as hell too.

I have seen many people Dharoking many tasks that only require prayer like fire giants, I have also seen some Dharok Iron/Steels tasks.

Maging doesnt really work well with slayer only good thing that I know of is using fire spells on irons/steels.

Assuming that you know using stab is the best way to kill all dragons, Korasis + DDef is better.

And, if you can stand getting 80 DG the Chaotic Rapier is the BEST weapon for many slayer tasks.

Hope i helped.

My fav dh able tasks are Fire Giants, Garg's, Black Demons (along side the cannon), and Hellhounds. I know the Barrows guide at the bottoms gives some dhable tasks but one i DO NOT suggest dhing is Nech's because at low hp the spawns will tear u a new one.

Tasks i often mage are Iron/Steel, Blues, and Abby Demons.

You can barrage nechs, and you can mage any and all demons. I think Dharok's is pretty close to Bandos + fsh + rapier except that it has the huge overkill loss which means you really want a cannon or familar to finish stuff off for you (e.g. multicombat tasks with high hp preferred). I imagine you can get some neat 1000+ hits on mutated bloodvelds perhaps.

. Magic- any good things besides ice strykes to mage?

Depends on your equipment / Mage level.

Fire Surge owns most tasks in Kura's - Gargs / Abbys / Irons / Steels.

Best set up I ve found is:

Full Slayer Helm - 15% Mage Bonus

Arcane Neck - 15% Mage Bonus

SOL - but Chaotic would be better - another 15 or 20%

Ahrims top - bottom

Infinity boots

Zammy / Mage book

Fero - +40 to Damage.

God Cape

Wolpenger plus scrolls

Yak is preferable to bank on Metals / Abby's IMO.

I can't rememeber the exact max hit but its in the region of 500 - 510, and isnt any slower then melee imo.

^And that's still around 25% slower than melee.

I mage-slayed from 86-97 magic. It definitely "livens" things up, but it's slow as hell except for nechs and ice wyrms.

Anyway, dharoking fire giants in the Smokey Well is tons o' fun. So is 2.5briding DKs for dag tasks.

1. Magic- any good things besides ice strykes to mage?

Not really unless you want to spend more time on metal dragons then you already are

2. Dharoks- any good tasks to use this on?

Not really since slayer helm>dharoks

3. Is korasi's+ddef = zspear? or is zs still the way to go?

Korasi+d def is best for dragons until chaotic rapier at which point chaotic rapier is best for everything except maging icewyrms

Not being a fan at all of those popular non-combat magic training methods... (there is superheat that's ok, maybe livid farm if interested in the spells...)

Mage slaying, while slower than pure melee is still quite decent. Irons, Steels, Blues and Abbyssals in Kura dung are all very good. Should break even to profit if banking bones/ashes. Gargoyles can be maged too if unlocked auto-kill ability, stand in middle of the room, once they unagro just blast away in every direction. Avantage of this compared to melee : you dont need the room all for yourself to be efficient. Applies to abbyssals too (both get really crowded at times and hopping world is inefficient too lol).

Can Burst/Barage nechs too, its definately fun.

Definately aim to get a rapier for your stab weapon...

On metal dragons, is that relly 25% slower than korasi/zs? Just wondering because the numbers just don't really add up.

Not 25% slower than zs, probably. I'm not sure on your accuracy with magic. But in general, that fire surge max hit assumes max mage gear, and it's only fair to compare that to max melee gear, which will hit 650ish max, and 25% faster.
