Actuly this update was ment for those just training. Guess jagex caught on that its boring just fighting monsters to train.

Some things some players may have missed:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Telekinetic Theatre

 

 

 

Use the 'Observe Guardian Statue' to get a view of the whole maze. You can cast telegrab and walk around the maze from this view, but sometimes it switches back to normal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To telegrab, you do not have to be lined up exactly with the statue. As long as you are on the right side of the maze he will move.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alchemists' Playground

 

 

 

You can't take any money in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The items from the cupboards are not tradable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can only alch items from the cupboards, so no need to worry about alching your other stuff :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If there is a green arrow pointing to one of the items, alching that item is free - it will not use runes (It does not mean, as one person was telling everyone, that you get ZERO gp for alching)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Creature Graveyard

 

 

 

You CAN take food in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Don't 'Use banana with Food Chute' - there's a Deposit Food Chute option. If you need to eat some bananas to heal, eat before depositing!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think the reason for the 'Bones to Peaches' spell is to make healing here much easier. You may also be able to deposit peaches for faster points.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edit: You do not need a full load of bones: some types are converted into more than one banana (up to 4) as shown in the bottom right of the screen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enchantment Chamber

 

 

 

I've seen several people using orbs with hole. There is a 'Deposit Hole' option which does all your orbs in one click.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The dragonstones which spawn here are not tradable, and (as already mentioned in this thread) will disappear if you try to take them out.

This update was obviously designed to help the poorer people who cant afford to make/buy alch fodders like yew longs, and cant afford the nature runes beyond 100 at a time. The alchemy place is great for someone with just 55 magic, as hi alch helps magic enormously around that level.

Looks like master wand, and teh mage book, and possibly new spell are all thats owrth getting.

Being as you make money (although only a little) on yew longs, and lose the vast majority of the money you spend on nats if you use the mini-game, i'd strongly disagree it's for poor people.

I think this was really meant for the XP. Every guy you talk to say a lot of about getting xp or you get it at the end or whatever. None of them say much about the clothing, nor do they wear it themselves. If the robes are better, it won't be worth getting for maybe 1 or 2 points better. Also hence the name "Mage Trainning Area"

I think this was really meant for the XP. Every guy you talk to say a lot of about getting xp or you get it at the end or whatever. I agree. I especially love the occasional free High Alchemy spells. It lets me train on a spell I don't usually train on for free and get bonus xp.

I agree, either way tho I just cancelled membership, this game is to time consuming IMHO.

The reason jagex did this was because of the lack of use of cosmics in runescape. You rarly would of ever saw someone using cosmics in runescape. Besides that pooint it puts comsics back into the marcket. Now people have am acutal perpose to craft cosmics.

I run to any corner, half fill my invent with one colour, then fill up the rest with that 1 other colour pile in the corner (so 12 of each). When one of them comes up bonus, there is perfectly enough time to enchant all 12 of them. Then, either it's your other colour bonus (in which case enchant those) or it's not (in which case run to the centre, drop your 12 obs, go get 12 of another colour). This way you're 65% likely that the next colour will be yours if the current one isnt, so you rarely wait for long.

 

 

 

While you're waiting for your colours to come up, stand half-way between a corner and the middle, watching for dragstones.

When i said you could only enchant 6 to 8, i meant pick up, and enchant. Other than that, goo d job.

 

 

 

Also, it helps to put your items on the bottom, and then put the last item of what you're enchanting in a spot where you don't have to move your cursor in between choosing spell and casting it. Since all the other objects of that type are above what your choosing, it goes a little quicker than otherwise.

 

 

 

My two cents

I'd love to get my hands on a full set of those infinity robes... But the price of them is...loads...

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

I think youll find thats not the case. Its just because that is a very easy minigame, and is easier and less time consuming then the others.
